Every once in a while, we have a member that suddenly begins to vent or spam guild chat with one or two obscenities, quite unprovoked (either they're having a bad day/or they're just in a foul mood) and it seems like the only solution is to remove them from the guild, to prevent them from bothering other members.
But removing someone seems like such a drastic step.
It would be nice if our officers could either Mute a member (in guild chat) or put them into Timeout (restricting access to guild chat/the guild hall for a certain time period--Very Short, Short, Medium, Long, Very Long) until that person cools off.
Removing someone altogether strikes me as very severe. There seems to be no middle-ground, no warning powers for the officers and GMs that moderate the guilds during the day.
Ideally, i would like to make the final decisions when it comes to removing a player.
But because our Officers and GMs have no other way of muting players in guild chat, i have no other option but to have them use removal as a means of controlling a situation.
So if possible, please add what would essentially be moderator powers to guilds, so that Officers/GMs can mute players/temp ban (timeout) if needed without having to resort to immediate removal.
Would be Very helpful. VERY HELPFUL.
