I got myself a UV undead high haze bomb, and I'm curious if anyone can help me out here; how much of an increase in damage to undead would it actually do with agni, and how much with shiver? and does agnis ticks go by UV damage? I'd assume so, but don't know that.
further more, which would you recommend? agni or shiver; Shiver would probably be better as a bomb in general, but since it's a damage bomb, maybe using it on a status entirely bomb would be a waste? agni hits more at least. *thus, we're back to whether agnis ticks after first hit are affected by UV too*
UV damage increases?

Ah I see.
Well then, prolly gonna get a shiver. :U
if initial damage is boosted the same, and shiver would be better for firestorm.
*edit* oh and thanks for the help.

Just a side note about haze
Just a side note about haze bombs-- the actual explosion is TINY. Most of the radius is the "haze" which doesn't directly do damage, just apply status effects.

Haze are used more for status effects than anything
So for a dps Haze bomb, CTR ash is probably the best...

Venom Veiler maybe, actually.
Venom Veiler maybe, actually. Amplifies the damage done by everything else, usable in Vanaduke's stratum and you don't have to worry about triggering oilers.

does little to boost your damage and you have to reaply it all the time. or so I heard.
The 'tick damage' you're referring to is just the flame status reapplying itself.
If you stand inside a fire pit, you will see the same effect on your fire timer.
The timer will reset itself sometimes before it can tick down, dealing additional fire damage because it's as if you've been applied the status again.
So the only actual damage that gets modified is the initial explosion.
