So? create a non steam account and a fake mail. You'll only use it once to get a new crest and then forget about it.
It's the only solution I can give you. Or I could do that myself and sell you a crest.... but I'll need an armor to put it into.
It's a hole in the system. The crest itself is bound but if you place it on an unbound armor it can be traded.

Step 1. Tell me what armor you want a proto crest on
Step 2. Let me attach my crest on it
Step 3. Buy, buy, BUY!!!
Or do what L-Juances said, it's the only way. If you'd contacted the GMs right away, they would be able to de-attach it from that armor.
No, but you could start a new account with a different mail, bind the crest to an unbound armor and trade the armor to your main account.
