So here I am, just shooting drivers around for fun in lockdown, and den a wild chaos hammer clone appears!
I outdamage/cap/defend him with only guns, and here's what he says:
"Well, considering most of the guns your favor are either status or extreme knockback, I wouldn't even consider you remotely good"
oh thanks. mophead ;o
never knew choosing a normal damage gun and drivers was considered noob. and that somebody getting lower stats than me in every category could say that.

hoo cares? Dis always happends because the noob trys to convince himself that he is good and by doing that he makes an excuse (even if is a complete lie). Happends withng any weapon..someone said this to me while I was using a cutter-series weapon. I mean COME ON!

As much as I'd not respond to this sort of thing, and for all the reasons the community gave me for not doing PvP, if he's in full Chaos, then wouldn't that make him a noob? And a dead man if he faces a gunner?

@ OP - I take it that you've been playing against Moppey lately? Yeah. I can see his frustration at being shocked and then valiance spammed - I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't think shock is a virtual death sentence - but that's what you get by choosing an armor set with negative status resistance on everything.
@Dragonicblaze - A bit of history: the chaos set used to only have CTR VH before it was recently buffed to include Damage VH as well, which created a huge surge in the number of people crafting chaos cloaks to take advantage of the set suddenly becoming OP. People who now use chaos cloaks may not be n00bs, but people who now have them after the patch are seen as bandwagon-hoppers.
Also, some weapons, armor sets, and items are clearly more powerful and advantageous in a PvP setting than others. Try using a Wild Hunting Blade and a Catalyzer against another guy with a toothpick and a Divine Avenger. What is considered "OP" depends on opinion and thus varies from person to person, but imbalance is a severe issue at the moment with Lockdown.

Touché. That said, Something that grants CTR VH (Max! for a lev 10 weapon) and damage VH isn't going to say much about a knight's skill, regardless of whether or not they get royally screwed to status effects.

Actually, no. Chaos used to grant universal damage low and ctr low per piece before it's most recent buff. I know this, I used it for a great deal before the mega buff patch.

I honestly miss when nobody wore Chaos and people thought I was a fool for wearing it in serious combat situations. Whenever I wear Chaos now, I can't do so without feeling at least somewhat guilty. That being said, it definitely deserves some form of nerf. I bet if you doubled the fire and shock penalties at the least, that would do the trick. Still, it doesn't come without its share of weaknesses. Everyday Chaos-user + any haze bomb = Dead, not big surprise.

Yeah, never used chaos cloak before the patch - I just fact-checked and you were right.
Still, antipathy for new chaos users is valid: all the people who laughed and called chaos useless and wasteful then went and crafted the set as soon as it become the new OP armor set. A bandwagon large enough for everyone to hop on to.
