Right now, I have 4* gear (except an acheron), and am stuck on the 5* HoH mission. I need to get to 5* to get past it. By my estimates that means about 339,000 crowns, which is about 46 vana runs or 146 RT runs, and that's assuming I'm only grinding with mist and not using CE. The vana runs wouldn't be so bad, but I need a higher ranking guildie to go along so I can at least have access to the mission, and hardly any of my guild is grinding vana these days. Now, I can't bring myself to do what would be a month of RT runs, so I'm looking for advice to rack up the crowns I need. I thought about playing the market and just selling off all the mats I don't need, but I'm either not seeing a lot of movement there, or I'm not watching the market properly.

In short, I cannot find a more efficient, less mind-numbingly boring way to get to 5*. Can anyone give me some pointers? Thanks.

Arenas and materials.

If you find a stratum with arenas (Preferably multiple and especially preferable in stratums 2, 4 and 6), those can be very profitable for relatively little cost, especially if you can get someone to get down there first and then join in with him/them (Unless you're doing solo runs.)
Farming and selling mats on the market is another option, though profits depend on the mats: For example, wolver/chromalisk drops can be very profitable (3* and up mainly) while jelly mats are almost completely worthless.

When doing RT, you can save

When doing RT, you can save up for tokens for the schemer scrap and sell it on the AH. I haven't checked in a bit, but they were selling for around 18k each, netting you close to 1k per RT token.

But you can go into t3 can't you? Just run a vana t3 run (whole run)

I'd honestly just kind of play the game if I were you. You'll get there eventually, and nothing exciting happens when you do get there.

You don't need 46 Vana runs to pass HoH; you can exchange tokens for a full Ancient set with a shield for 90 tokens (max 30 Vana runs). The money you earned while doing this should be plenty to make at least one 5* weapon. After you've used the Ancient stuff to pass Hall of Heroes, you can sell it all for a total of 90k.

A full Vana run (with arcade) should earn you at least 10k outside of the tokens. If you can make one piece of armour and skip the need for using tokens, chances are you can be done after 20 runs. Since you're passing through the arcade, a good chunk of your run will be less repetitive since it'll be randomized.

You could also buy one lousy energy pack and be done today, but the only thing that awaits you at 5* is more of the same.

Zeddy, when you say sell it all for a total of 90k do you mean vendor the items or put them on auction?

@Blade-Of-Grass

5* items can be vendored for 30k per piece. I was not suggesting you unbind ancient items.

so using Zeddy's math

Let's say you do 30 vana runs, with 10kcr per run plus tokens.

30x10k = 30k
30k/6.7k(ce/cr exchange rate)x100 = 4477.6CE.
4477/800 = about 5.5.

So that's 5 5* things you can craft, without even using the tokens. Wasted time. What you should do instead:

20 vana runs = 200k + 60 tokens
200k/6.7kx100 = 2.98kCE
3k/800= 3.75

That means you get two token pieces, make two 5* things, and have 1400CE left over to buy recipes, more 5* things, or whatever.

@Klipik

I said that too.

"If you can make one piece of armour and skip the need for using tokens, chances are you can be done after 20 runs. "
