Apologies if this has been thunk up before, but I'm not gonna search for it.

So we have that thin ring on the ground when we place a bomb right? It could be handy if the 5 status bombs also had a secondary ring in the middle to indicate the size of the blast damage.

Suggestion ends.

Neat. Adding this into my collaboration thread so it can live forever.

Sorry, can't support this one. The range of the initial blast on a haze is so small that there just isn't a need, and if what you're interested in is trying to take out enemies by specifically using a haze's initial blast, that opens up a whole separate set of questions--i.e., why aren't you using a nitro or other blast line (or even shard line) to begin with? Plus, wouldn't that mean needing to carry over the same secondary rings to things like shards? I don't see the very small utility being worth all the extra graphics.

Because... I have a hankering

Because... I have a hankering for an elemental bomb and I recently rolled ctr vh on my Shivermist, which lead to experimenting on robots. In the event you can get enough monsters close enough together, it essentially can become a 5* cold snap but with out the knockback.

As for alternatives to using a mist bomb the options are EV and DCB. Sure I would love to have rolled that on my EV as the only thing holding that back as a legitimate damage bomb is the charge time; but whats done is done.
As for DCB, sorry but I find DBB to be faster, safer and just better on undead and the same again with DR on construct. I'm a Gunslinger who carries a damage bomb for backup, so I'm looking for simplicity over technique. A bit like how a Swordsman might carry a pulsar or antigua rather than an alchemer or catalyzer.

Nitro.. well, I love my DBB because it just works. I have crafted a couple of good blasts bombs in the past, but chose not to use them because the knockback is the one feature I don't want. I tried to like it, but it's not what I'm looking for in zombie and robot killing.

As a hybrid, I find planting the haze bomb in places where it will damage multiple enemies useful while I switch to my sword or gun and wind up a charge.
Also, the sword and gun I bring are often slow, and it's much safer to use the haze bomb to damage or finish off enemies when I'm at low health.
