A Sprial Knights PvP mode that is so simple, why hasn't it been suggested yet?

Tag!

Well, truthfully I don't know if it has been suggested yet, but it seems like it would be fun for all knights to play. One knight is designated as being "IT!" while other knights are trying to avoid the knight that is "IT!"

Tagging is debatable, can be done by simply rubbing up against another knight or can be done by attacking a vulnerable knight with a weapon. Only the "IT!" marker can move between knights. *Knights never die in this PvP mode unless they step on a trap hazard; stepping on a trap hazard can be a viable strategy to avoid being tagged!

It might be fun including the striker shields as a "Sprint" option and when you run out of sprint, you're more vulnerable to be tagged.

* Questionable. May look for better suggestions.

Basically looks like catching, problem is that the game depends solely on how well you can perform with internet speed, instead of weapon/armor choice or level of skill involved. It rules out fun in variation and has no utility of intellectual capacity to determine the rightful winners.

Just no.

@Curious-MewkatWhy does it

@Curious-Mewkat

Why does it matter about armor choice? Armor choice really doesn't have a role in a game such as tag, nor should it be a factor in this game mode. Like Blast Network. Isn't THAT game dependent solely on how well you can perform with internet speed and not with Armor Choice? I believe your argument here is invalid.

Connection speed I can sympathize with, however doesn't lockdown already possess a form of player management with regards to their connection? If a player leaves, and if that player is "IT!", another random player could be chosen to be "IT!"

I'm also not too sure about utility of intellectual capacity. you still have to find the knight designated as "IT!" and outthink their movements to avoid being "IT!" yourself. So I believe there's some skill involved.

Curious-Mewcat, are you sure about all of these things?

I'm just saying that your game of Tag may be too simple that it becomes obsolete as it will not provide the same level of fun with the difference in variation of tactics and playing styles, evident in BN and LD. All you are doing is chasing people, and it doesn't really sound that fun on the virtual level, especially when latency exists.

If we do this...

Everyone will use Mercurial Demo with Shivermists and Supernovas, and no one will catch anyone ever.

Well...

Quite frankly, I've thought it'd be cool to have zombie tag in Haven around the Punkin King Festival. Like only in Haven 1 and 2 (because some people want peace) you can have a single person spontaneously become a zombie (3/4 normal speed) and everyone he ran into would become one too. Zombies could gang up and corner the normal people as they try to run away. Gear would not be applicable. Just run.
