My volcanic demo combination (helmet and armor) give two medium CTRs which equal high, and my shivermist (@10) gives CTR med: the three together equal max CTR on bomb icon (attack power in character display). BUT, in defense power, the character displays the bomb icon just at at very high. Why is this?

Clarified (?)
I click "character", then at the bottom there is the list of icons--Helmet Icon (defense), sword (attack), and gun)attack), and if third weapon slot, bomb (attack). When I click on the helmet (defense), it shows what is what. In this case it shows my shiver as VH CTR. (?) When I move over to the bomb icon (attack), it shows Max CTR--which it should be (Vol. Demo hel., med. + Vol. Demo armor, med + Shiver, med: total is CTR max.) Why the difference? Did I explain that better? probably not, lol, sorry. But thanks for trying to understand.

I don't have that display in front of me, but here's what I think is happening:
The left-most icon (the helmet) displays the total effect of your helmet and armor suit, including defense and offensive bonuses that come from your helmet and armor suit. It does not take offensive bonuses on specific weapons into account. The icon for your bomb displays the total bonuses on that bomb, including the UVs on the bomb, the heat level CTR bonus, and the bonuses coming from helmet and armor.
By the way, your Shivermist Buster also has CTR: Medium from being at heat level 10 (or it will soon). So you're "wasting" some CTR there.

Bopp is right, the helmet icon on character display shows the combined effects of armor+helm, disregarding specific weapon bonuses.
What if you had 2 bombs, one with med ctr @10 and another at level 1 with no ctr?
Displaying "max ctr" just because your shivermist is level 10 wouldn't be accurate for your other bomb.

Sorry, but I don't understand. What do you mean, that the bomb icon's "defense power" is just Very High? What is the "defense power" of a weapon?
