There are just times I want to be able to ask a question to every single one of my online friends, why can't I do this.
I think it should be added.
Like if I'm looking for a material or something, instead of having to go through and /tell each individual one, it would be much easier to have a mass tell.
It could be as simple as /f (or /friends) too. Good idea, definitely. I can see several practical uses of this feature.
I know right, sometimes I just like to say hi to all my little buddies.
The next logical step is mass emailing.
Also, might I add that we need a contact list popup window for emailing, I hate bloody trying to remember some people's names. Some are complete gibberish and LONG.
Heck even something as simple as being able to click their name and say compose a msg so that it opens up the msg with the Recipient name already filled in.
Yes, yes, a million times yes. I didn't understand why something like that couldn't be done already. In my first attempt to send a mail, I right-clicked their name thinking there would be a "Send message" drop down. I was so sadly mistaken with that notion.
I can kind of see why mass mailing wasn't implemented though (This is a sad example, but Gaiaonline had a mass mail function, and it got really abused with scams/chain mails that they ended up doing away with it). But the need for it is definitely present in guilds.
I sorta support. Though I kind of wondered how sane it would be to have a mass tell with my 200+ friendlist (actually near 250 but I need to delete people to avoid the friend cap so I can add more :D ), it won't be so bad. I never see more than 40 of them on at a time and it could be helpful to just /f some of them.
/f I'm at d14 of JK palace, any wanna jump in with me? I can go solo so we can make more parties.
/f I'm at d23, any recipe requests?
Etc etc. Stuff I already see in my guild but I'd like to be able to use that same functionality with friends sometimes.

To solve that I would limit it to only mass emailing with contacts on your CL, it's easy enough to remove spammers from your CL. I didn't mean mass email the entire playerbase haha. You should NEVER be able to do that.
I'd definitely like to see a /f that works just like /g

Oh haha, I guess that makes more sense. I think the Gaia one was just a friends thing too, but it ended up being really obnoxious because people were dumb about it, really (and a lot of the people sending me spam were people I knew IRL, LOL, so they probably wouldn't take kindly to me removing them).
But yeh, the only people who should have the power to mass mail the entire player base are devs.

Cheesy it sounds like their accounts got hacked and used for spam, I always notify people if their things get hacked or it is suspicious.
If it doesn't get fixed, they get removed.
^Remember very litter tolerance for the stupid and BS of people.
So it seems a few of you want this feature that I suggested.
Maplestory has a buddy chat option, so you can chat to all the people on your friends list.
It works pretty well, except when people use it in place of tells to discuss stuff and you hear parts of conversations you never wanted to.
I actually liked Maplestory's IMing system (do they even still do that?). It was really cool, and tabbed, and you could minimize it if you wanted to, so you could keep track of a million different conversations and it could be non-obtrusive if you needed it to be.
Also, yeh, no. Their accounts weren't hacked, they were just really stupid. Someone on their friends list sent them the chain mail or whatever and they were like "Oh no, superstitions~~! I just HAVE to send this to everyone on my friends list, lest a poltergeist throw rotten cheese into my underpants!" They stopped sending me things after I started throwing rotten cheese at them, though.
