Only think is that a acquired a hate for all things pink from my friend, I hang out with her too much to enjoy pinkie pie. Twilight and Rainbow Dash are my favorites! And there's a dinosaur!

Well I think the pilot and second episode is their original take on the series. In a normal fantasy series like Dungeons and Dragons (the cartoon) finding the equivalent of the Elements of Harmony would've taken the entire season. If this is so then I'm so glad they dropped the good vs evil plot and turned it into slice of life.
Still, it makes me want to see Luna in more episodes.

It has been confirmed that Luna will reappear in season 2, and they said that it would be "epic" (in some way or another).
Anyways, I'm really excited about the upcoming release of season 2, as I'm sure everyone is. I'm kinda disappointed that Lauren Faust has left the project, but I have a feeling that it'll still be EPIC WIN!

Plot? What plot?
There's a high fantasy good vs evil plot in episodes 1-2, but after that, it's a series of one-episode slice-of-life situations that are either solved though conversation/drama or an adventure (usually drama).
For instance, episode 3 deals with the main character having only one extra ticket to a ball... and then her friends fight over it (and try to "bribe" her in the process). She has to decide which of her friends she will bring to the event with her.
That event actually happens on episode 26. And let's just say no one is too happy about it...

People always watch the pilot first, especially if they are streaming episodes, or watching from a "season X" DVD set.

I knew it!
It so figures I would find a MLP thread here. Ponies are EVERYWHERE! o___O
But in any case... I LOVE the show. And I'm a grown man. A brony, rather. I say that proudly, no matter what anyone has to say.
"You're gay because you like a young girl's cartoon."

Not a single one of those are true. It's a cartoon based off of little girl's toys, but in no way does that mean the cartoon itself is for girls. Not even that Strawberry Shortcake show..... which is quite corny, and boring, need I add. But it's just a show. All people of all ages, genders, and races can watch whatever show pleases them. Okay, back to ponies. The show is brilliantly animated, the cast's personalities are all so diverse, and lovable, and darn it.... freakin' Tara Strong. Her voice acting just makes everything so much better. Then again, the other characters' voices are great as well. The writing is fantastic, as well as the singing. Which I'm honestly not a fan of singing cartoon characters, but for some reason.... like the Disney cartoons.... I just enjoy when these characters sing. Anyone who is on the fence about watching it should do so. You may start bucking(kicking) yourself for not watching it sooner. For those who don't like it, well.... you just don't like it. Or don't want to like it due to self embarrassment. So those that don't like it, I personally respect your choice, but try not to push your hatred around for it. And to all my fellow herd members... PINKIE PIE IS BEST PONY! :P
Summing things up... I give this cartoon 4 hooves up. (4 hooves out of 4, of coarse. :P )
