That is right the CiV is even more under powered then the cautery sword why? Well it all started a few weeks ago I bought a slime high brandish and thought, "slime max cautery sword." In the end the slime max did exactly one more damage to a slime compared to a nightblade. Sadly the CiV does not manage this it dealt 19 damage less damage than my no bonus voltedge as you can likely tell this bothers me...

Weapon review: CIV is a

Weapon review: CIV is a normal damage sword, so it is prone to "ok" damage on all monsters. The thing is, because it has a built in dmg vs. undead uv into it, it is therefore weaker against all enemies than the the levi.

With the cautery sword, you had a max total damage on your vs slime, so it managed to squeak out a 1 damage more.

With your CIV, you had only high vs undead (right?). If you were to test it on an undead (I assume you did), then the voltedge would still be better. If you did not remember, undead are VERY weak against elemental damage, which voltedge can deal. Since it is an "ok" damage sword vs. an elemental sword on an undead, which is more weak to elemental than anything else, it makes sense that CIV would be much weaker than the voltedge.

Take into account all the facts I have given you, and you should also realize that the higher level the weapon is, the larger the gap between the damages of some swords are. Take for instance the winmillion. That sword's damage is much worse than CiV.

Um no. What people refuse to understand is that CIV isn't a proper primary weapon. Read this, then we can talk.

Also, why are you writing a small 'i'? It most certainly should be big.

You were only comparing regular swings...
CiV has more damage potential on the charge, specially against turrets and big enemies. It makes sense to be slightly weaker.

Depths~

Also, consider depths?

Seeing as weapon damage scales with depth, and the two weapons you were comparing were of different star rank, you would need to calculate or find out at which depths the weapons would be identically scaled and thus would be generating comparable numbers.

@Little-Juances: Aside from

@Little-Juances: Aside from big enemies and turrets, CIV's charge hits small enemies (Kats,Silkwings,Devilites) 2 times.

And has another (offensive) potential-its knockback-> start charging-->release charge-->use 2nd and 3rd swing to continue the slaughter, without running after the enemy. (that's not part of "@Little-Juances").

RE: Terra-Necro

My cautery sword had slime high UV (slime max) and my CiV had a undead VH UV. (undead max+random wasted low)
