So today I decided to stop using "clone" weapons for a little while and do something a little bit different. So I equipped my Vog set, Voltedge, and Silent Nightblade (no AT) and went out into the killing fields.
...and died horribly.
Any tips? Remember, no AT. That includes toggling.
Since I saw you posting a lot of threads about "How to be better in LD", I'd like to ask you something: Do you use Health Trinkets?
If the answer is no, then make ones. You won't survive in T3 LD without them (Pretty obvious.) If the answer is yes, let me proceed in answering your question here.
Brandish lines are known for their hard aim, but massive damage. I don't see a problem in using AT, but since you dislike it, you will have to train A LOT on it. The trick here is your placement. Use only the first swing, then change your place while still aiming at your enemy. It's like a piece of chess dancing around an elephant till it dies. Use the 2nd swing only when you think your enemy is at the brink of death. 3rd swing is a no-no everytime since it puts you invulnerable. Best thing to accompany a brandish is Valiance. Use it carefully and try to stop the incoming strikers with it and then BOOM! Brandish swings on these savages.

You mean vulnerable. Invulnerability would be a great and overpowered thing.
Is only effective with AT. If someone told you that can be use without AT and get good results, is lying.
Brandish line is for AT lovers, AT dependants, Togglers, AT pokemons, AT depraved ppl, Contri, and Contri's sister.

You cannot use Brandishes without AT. Even Contri did admit so.
Snarkey and I were doing 1v1's during an endless match. The deal was brandish and no AT. It actually allows for faster and more "free" movement. However, not using AT is quite hindering unless you know what you're doing.
First of all, you need to get whether you're using AT or not out of your head. Most of the times when people cannot play without AT is because it's a MENTAL HANDICAP. They cannot stand playing without AT, although it usually doesn't do much (although it does facilitate comboes and brandish). This mental handicap makes you do terribly without AT.
Another solution is to move your cursor/mouse/pointer/face to what you're aiming at. It sound obvious, but many people just point their cursor in the general direction of where they want to hit. If AT didn't fix the aiming for them, they might miss using a short-ranged weapon (cutter, brandish, etc..). So the solution is to put your mouse on top of the target.
A way to get used to playing without AT faster is using a sentenza/valiance only loadout. no AT, go up to people's faces and shoot em. Gets you to aim, and also benefits you because you learn to dodge people's attacks while keeping a close range to them.
EDIT: switching between targets while using the sent/vali in the ATH or GTH might help you.
I think I should mention I use AT about once every two months. It's not exactly a dependency thing. Thanks for the tip about the accuracy though, even though it might be a little difficult with my mouse sensitivities xD
But everything gets better with time. Except me playing Starcraft.
Remember craftyzen, thengel, thrillaus and others when they tried to play without AT in Contri's tournament... all those depend so much on the feature that fail miserably and the only " surprise " for me was Bacon ( I though he was going to fail too).
Brandish is 100% AT dependant, besides, there are so many ppl with that weapon that now is a clone weapon.

Leviathan has the same attacks that Brandish Lines have, silly. And no, it's not 100% AT dependent. If you are a noob that can't use it without AT, that doesn't mean everyone use AT with it. You and your silly generalization.
Your argument is invalid.
There are no player that use Brandish without AT that can get good results.
Before throw more arguments, learn the game piece of noob.

Although he may use AT, he can still throw arguments, and he may know the game well. just because somebody uses AT doesn't mean they do not know how to play the game, or how it works.

Dragneel talks too much and he sucks at this game baddly even with AT, at least some people with AT is fun and a good challenge.. but drag.... not even with 8 Max UVs and a rocket launcher

Just because he uses AT it doesn't make him worse than you. Since it's found in the options, it is optional whether to use AT or not. I forgot to mention that almost everyone everyone does AT, and even if they do at least at least I do not whine like babies when I get killed by someone that does use it, unlike some people that complain about it while they do use it...
