Hey there. I joined pretty recently and I've been lurking pretty meticulously through these forums and wiki and there's something that's been nagging at my attention.
I've recognized that if you're heading to tier 3 investing in an owlight series seems to be the best shield investment so far, since you'll be taking a lot of elemental oriented attacks. Am I right or is there a better shield for tier 3?

Well it matters on your playing style obviously I personally use the grey owlite shield due to the stats on it.
Royal Jelly: Normal + Piercing and Stun + Sleep resistance - some players prefer this for well those beast stages mainly.
Dread Skelly - I use this personally for all undead stages it has no elemental which kinda blows, but its great vs the undead.
Dragon Scale - Well Piercing and Elemental with Fire resitance is pretty handy at times for those players who are bad vs piercing
Omega Shield - Many plays prefer this since the stacked health and normal defense it has
V-Plate - I like this shield as well it has Normal defense stacked with fire and stun resistance....honestly I see a lot of players use this in T3 for the fire stages it works well for them.
Grey Owlite - This shield is not bad at all what i lacks is mainly piercing and normal defense, but thats where uv's kick in to help you out I guess. This is my go to shield has been for awhile. I would not say its the best shield in the game though just works with my playing style.
