So a few weeks back I saw some one in chaos and BTS one shot two Trojans with a single charge of the FoV. What I want to know is would I need damage max to do it?
Give me numbers.
Party size? The healt more than doubles on a full party compared to solo.
Little-Juances is certainly right --- the party size matters a lot. So you have to consider the weapon (!), the depth, and the party size.
Also, this is not really New Recruits material. This is a highly technical question about pretty advanced equipment.
Sorry I left that out I was In a four person party.. Or was it 3? .-.
Also NUMBERS!
P.S. I was sleepy when I made this thread and I left off the most important parts 3-4 person party and FoV being the one to kill the Trojans.
We don't have perfect accurate data on monster health and weapon damage yet.
And since it varies by depth and party, there might not be a single answer.
All I'll say is it looks like a plain blitz can do the job if you don't miss any bullet on a full party.
This is also important. At point blank range you'll undoublty need much less of a bonus than if you try to snipe the trojan from across the room.
As for FoV, Ultra or VH damage should do instead of Max if you let them burn. The damage they lack to reach the assumed total health of a trojan is very tiny, give me a margin of error.
Also NUMBERS!
I don't understand. Are you saying that I didn't give you numbers? I've just given you hundreds of them.
If you're in a 4-person party, then a trojan probably has about twice as much health as in a 1-person party. (Sorry, I don't know the exact numbers.) So look up Fang of Vog at Lancer Knightz, and multiply Zeddy's trojan health by 2, and you can get a pretty good idea.
Here is Zeddy et al.'s measurements and predictions of monster health at various levels. Trojans have the same health as lumbers. Here and here are the Lancer Knightz handgun data from depths 19 and 24. Here and here are the Lancer Knightz sword data from depths 19 and 24. You didn't say which weapon you meant, or what depth you meant.
At depth 24, a trojan has 1,466 health, so two trojans have 2,932 and three trojans have 4,398. A Blitz Needle charge does this much damage against vulnerable enemies:
* damage+0: 238 * 15 = 3,570,
* damage+2: 262 * 15 = 3,930,
* damage+4: 286 * 15 = 4,290,
* damage+6: 310 * 15 = 4,650.
It appears that damage+0 is enough to kill two trojans. That's surprising to me. Before last year's gun buff, which was something like 20%, Blitz Needle with damage+0 couldn't one-shot-kill a trojan. So I wonder if there's an error in here somewhere.
