There are currently three problems:
- Mist energy is an extremely important resource that players need to constantly survey in order to have a grasp on how much they can revive, how far they can run, wether or not this energy door is worth opening and so on.
- This information is not constantly displayed to us, and must instead be checked from the menu.
- The menus are slow to load. (Yes, it's like half a second. Not instant = too slow to check a two-digit number.)
If only there was some kind of way to constantly monitor mist without opening your menu. Something like... a permanent hud el-.. oh, I lost it. Shame, that seemed like a good idea I just forgot.
Wait, I had an idea that's almost as good as whatever blasphemous idea that goes the game's design principles I must've had just now: A button! When held, the player's mist and crystal energy will pop in similar to how it automatically does when you're close to doors or dead or whatever. By default it could be period or something.
maybe a hud element that shows your mist only could work. like a circle with a number inside. that would work.
