Mecha Knights are annoying with their T3 Sword version of Hot-Edge/Searing Edge, so why not make it a very rare drop like Darkfang Shield? :P
Well Maybe not as rare as it but it would be nice to make it somewhat rare but to occasionally see someone with one around Haven.

4* versions -
(I'm not great at coming up with names so if you got an idea, post it :D)

Scorching Edge? (I don't know) Good chance of causing moderate fire
Charged Edge? (I don't know either :L) Good chance of causing moderate shock

(Strata 5)

Hit 1 - 116 - 120
Hit 2- 116 - 120
Hit 3 - 127 - 134

Charge - 143

Status - 23

Or something like that...

A 360 Spin, knocking back all enemies in range. (Basically like levi). This isn't the same charge as Hot/Searing/Static/Shocking Edges but it's the same as the Mecha Knights.

I didn't think of Fang of Vog...

These lines can't set you on fire/shock. I just wanted to see the lines expand a little bit... Also what about Darkfang shield? "Wise Owlite shield much". These weps would be dropped from T3 Mecha Knights, Fang of Vog is gotten by 40 Almarian Seals. Also Fang of Vog is Good chance of causing strong fire. These would be Good chance of causing moderate fire/shock. As I mentioned on my first post, the charge would be changed from blasts to spin because that's what the Mecha knight does.

...

Maybe that's because it's the Levi blade has the same charge as the Mecha Knights use? If it's such a problem it can always just do 2/3 blasts instead.

Its just

I like weapons that are new, but has newer effects such as new charge, new weapon design, ECT. This weapon is too much of a recycled Levi. I can't feel myself liking it. So I’m against it.

P.S I had thought your idea was to give the Mecha knight enemies a levi charge that does shock and fire damage. If that was the idea, I would be for it. Anyway, I’m against this new weapon design.)

Umm...

Mecha Knights do have a charge like the Levi already? They spin and knock you back. (They knock you back more when you shield though). And if you like weapons that have new charges, what ideas have you got for new charges? I'm only saying that the weps should have the blast or spin charge SIMPLY because that's what the mechs Knights do.

Well...

Since Darkfang is basically a Wise Owlite Shield, why not make them reskins of a Blazebrand/Boltbrand/Glacius/Ascended Calibur? (Nothing for poison, because there aren't any 3-hit poison swords)

For me..

I like your idea klipik-Forum, but what I am more concerned about is how the charge attack will work and the effects the sword has. For example, the-Mighty-Potato's idea about creating a modify levi shock type called "Charged Edge" would knockback enemies then have moderate shock status inflicted on them for a small duration. This idea sounds good, but it feels like were just cluttering the game by adding the same mechanism and just modifying it just a little bit.

For me, adding new things such as a sword that fire’s a wave of dark matter particles towards an enemy, and after the wave has hit the enemy, the knight would be teleported to the end of where the wave stopped. Where the knight is teleported, upon arrival after the teleportation, the knight would then send out a small shock wave of the same dark matter particles around him in a circular shape causing a small amount of damage, but a moderate to a high push back. During the time the player sends the dark matter wave, the player cannot move similar to when a knight is done firing a charge shot of the blitz gun. During arrival after the teleportation has been activated, the player can move after the shockwave of the dark matter particles. The dark matter particle attack does normal/shadow damage and can inflict the poison status. The dark matter particle wave would move similar to how the 5 star brandish wave moves.

For me this is the kind of new charge attack mechanism the game needs, not a modified recycled one.

It all depends on if OOO wants to add in a unique mechanic that's extremely rare, so only the players with the elevator passes and lots of time, lots of CE, or lots of luck get their hands on them. It's not necessarily a bad idea, but it has two problems. One, OOO is historically not the best at balancing. Two, it's extremely hard to balance something that hardly ever ends up in a player's hands.

P.S: True Love Lockets.

Agreed

I agree with you, which is why most likely in the future, the weapons that come will be a branched recycled mechanic of another existing weapon mechanic (like the honor blades and shields, not even branched, just a replica with a different skin., But I don't count them as new weapons sense they were gifts. I just hope the new weapons don't feel dull :( ).
