Do you think gaming pads are good for Spiral Knights?
Gaming pad for SK?
I assume you're talking about the Xbox: One and not the original Xbox.
I haven't looked into the specs but most likely it will be able to. If not officially then third-party. Most likely Microsoft will do what they did with the Xbox 360 wireless controller: They will release a wireless dongle that allows connectivity to the PC.
I use a logitech something controller when I bomb somtimes... it looks exactly like a playstation controller, but with numbers instead of squares and circles and whatnot. And that works fine for bombing. Guns and swords on the other hand, I need a mouse for.
My footwork is better with an analog stick, but the problem is that its almost impossible to aim with one. I was playing a mission and trying to aim at a Howlitzer with a Silversix, and I was missing by pixels, and I simply couldn't hit it. AA didn't help either, so I ended up dropping it and going back to mouse and keyboard.
Though I think that is more the fault of the game, because there isn't any way to aim precisely with a gun in this. In similar games, like Bastion, it shows a line where your ranged attacks will go, making it actually possible to aim. SK doesn't have that, unfortunately.
I'm considering using my controller for the movement, and my mouse for aiming.
Though I would love to get one of these ( http://amzn.com/B0089O4EB0 ) and plug my Wii Nunchuk into it and use it with the mouse. :D
I use a wired Xbox 360 controller and it works perfectly with SK. I can even set the right analog stick for gun aiming which gives me pretty good accuracy. I really appreciate the time the developers took to make this game controller friendly. Now if they could just get the rumble feature working... (I love me some rumble.)

I'm with you! When would it shake? When you get hit? When your weapon is fully charged? (Man that would be handy...) When the screen shakes? When Vana smashes his mace?
I saw that XB1 controller and it looks awesome.
I might get it and use it with Steam but they said it doesnt use Bluetooth so....i dont know what there using and if PC compatibility will be an option.
Note: can someone clear that up? Will a XB1 controller work with a PC?
