Hey all,
Just curious:
Is it possible to be a decent gunner while using ONLY mouse?
I'm just wondering if anyone has ever tried?
I realize WASD is ideal for gunning but i have been playing SK for over two years and cannot re-train myself. :)
For the past two years i have used X as defend, Left mouse for movement, Right mouse for attack, Mouse wheel for weapon switch, and mouse movement for direction... I know that sounds nub, but i have gotten used to it.
In LD, i would love to try gunning, but was wondering if anyone has ever done it effectively with a movement set up like mine?

Thanks in advance. :)

ONLY mouse?

Depends... how many buttons does your mouse have? Because if you're talking about ONLY mouse movement, as in using one hand, you need a shield and strafe button on your mouse. If you're using your other hand for other stuff besides moving, try using the strafe key.

Depending on how many buttons your mouse has... A few things would be L mouse, middle mouse and R mouse buttons, you can assign attack, move and shield to each of them to your preference... then you shoot, move around/spin, shoot again, move... It's a weird way to play but I guess with something like blaster line it can work maybe. Most people prefer strafing, and for good reason.

I highly doubt it, but you could try using the strafe button (default [C] I believe). I haven't used it in combat before so I can't say if it works well.
