I'm making this because many people can't seem to fight hammer-users and call it spam. For your info, spurs move you almost as much as hammers, so don't think that's helping them. :P

Please, ask anything about how to fight hammers or tips for those having issues. DO NOT HATE ON HAMMERS, BECAUSE THAT DOESN'T BELONG HERE.

My first tidbits is this: after they use their first swing, run towards the hammer user. You'll find that they'll dash right past you! If you use guns or bombs, dropping a bomb right as they dash or shooting them can possibly lead to good results.

If they use the last hit, then you can spam your Gran Faust.
You can of course, poke them with your toothpick (FF or Twisted Snarble Barb). I use that of course
Go recon, and spam your bomb or gun. I'm a hammer user myself, but mostly use FF, Gran Faust and Trollaris :3

I don't have much tips. But one time, a hammer spammer spammed his hammer at me, and accused me for spamming just for making one gran faust swing and missed. He started to accuse me and made lies that I stole a bound Gran faust. He did this to other people >_>

Hammer dash.

Hammer dash is an uninterruptible animation.

As an uninterruptible animation, it has no invincibility frames. This means you can do 1-3x (!!!) damage per alchemer shot if you get ultra lucky with ricochets, that blitz needle can OHKO a hammer user with charge (I'VE DONE IT, IT WORKS LOL), that AP/Sentenza can be used to spam a hammer to death.

If you use a heavy sword, you can re-direct a dash to miss (angle the attack sideways as a parry, rather than trying to hit directly towards them).

Terrible hammer users like to use the 3 hit combo; Scarier ones like to use hit-dash-[shield], but even then, as with all melee enemies, they're forced to have to get near you to deal damage, so if they try to use the dash attack directly, they'll be forced to move in a straight line, which is predictable and lands you a free hit if you use a gun.

If you're using a gun vs a hammer user: learn to lead shoot. This means missing ahead of them in your screen in order to force the server to think that you really landed an attack. If you can lead, you can get those hits on its dash.

Warmaster Rocket Hammers are a weapon in the game. Some people suggest removing them. Why don't we remove Proto Swords from being eligible in Tier 3!? :D
