More RNG Based Mechanics (Critical Strike)

When players don't take certain weapons that have a small chance to cause Status on normal attacks (Charge attack status like Brandish is way too guaranteed) offense becomes dull and completely unaffected by RNG, and RNG is something that can make an MMO of any sort exhilarating.

I suggest Critical Strike Chance - All knights have a base 5% chance to cause 100% extra damage. As this is theoretically a 5% damage bonus to all weapons regardless of attack speed (smaller damage, faster speed, less benefit but it happens more, etc), all monster health should be increased by 5% so there is theoretically no nerf or buff of any sort - until RNG does its magic.

Then, Critical Strike Chance and Critical Strike Damage could become armor / weapon bonuses to further expand this MMO.

How to balance the stats? 1% critical strike chance with no attached bonuses besides a simple 100% damage bonus on critical strikes will be the same as a 1% damage bonus theoretically. Simply make it comparable to our current damage bonuses.

no, go away.

No. We don't need another thing to make blitz needle op.

With your ad hominem aside,

With your ad hominem aside, Blitz Needle wouldn't benefit from from this any more than any other weapon. It is theoretically a 5% damage bonus to -all- weapons, regardless of attack speed.

Blitz will fire off more shots to give you a better chance to see a critical strike, but when the critical strike occurs, it will only affect one of the fifteen bullets on its charge (on average).

That, my friend, isn't OP because of critical strike; but, if it remains OP, that would mean its much-too-high damage is to be blamed and not my suggestion. In other words, it isn't the fault of my suggestion, and my suggestion shouldn't be denied because of a single weapon that the developers refuse to nerf. Thank you very much.

Rather than telling me to "go away", please suggest that they nerf Blitz Needle's raw damage instead.

Yay!

Nothing says "exhilerating" like a brand-new way to enhance your performance without requiring any
technique or strategy! Critical hits are to gameplay as steroids are to sports.

You are asking to add in another element of luck to a game which is sliding closer and closer towards easy gameplay, spammable weapons, and computer-assisted aiming and further and further from the precision and skill requirement on which it was built.

No.

What does luck have to do with easy gameplay, spammable weapons, or auto-target? I don't understand.

I would be all for having damage being randomized a little, but not sure I like the flat critical rate. At least not unless there was something which would effect criticals. Equipment or statuses or something. But then again, that wouldn't be very SK like.

@Diamondshreddie

It would be a HUGE buff to the toothpicks..... probably way high than anything.

Note: While it is a big plus to bombs, how are bombs even supposed get critical hits? Well, a assume that it would work with shard bombs, but not stuff like Nitronome.

Basing critical hits on an RNG is overused, and doesn't add to gameplay or depth at all.
Timing, location, or ability based critical hits however, do.

die pls

Can we just let this "suggestion" -rolls eyes- die already?
Also crits make the game easier by making you do double damage at random. Nuf said. No skill required. The reason why spamable weapons (needle weapons, hammer dash, cutters)would be better for this as they would be getting MORE crits then non-spam weapons (torika, Callhalla). 'BAHT THEY ALL HAS SAME CRIT CHANCE" you're right, but if you can get 5 of those chances or only 2, witch one would you go with? the 5, it may be the same PER HIT but not in total.

@Atacii

Skill requirement = 0.
