Which starter battle sprite would you pick? There are currently 3 sprites, where are: The Drakon sprite, Seraphynx and Maskeraith sprites. Which one would you pick? How would it affect your playstyle? As for me, I'm considering in choosing the Maskeraith, since I would prefer going invisible and attack from behind. Of course, I may also choose Drakon if most of the people that use swords prefer Drakon.

Battle sprites would probably affect your playstyle, so tell us what YOU think would happen if you got a battle sprite and how it'd affect your play style. ^_^

Seraphynx because it increase

Seraphynx because it increase heart drops.
I would use it when I'm in a room with lots and enemies (like in FSC) and get hopefully pretty easy health if I get low.

Anyway, I'd choose Maskeraith, since I like the thought of having a Piercing damage attack that poisons enemies, as well as the hex and cloak.

Each one has some nice unique mechanics to their skills. I'm leaning toward Seraphynx, but am really interested in Drakon's flame shield, and Maskeraith's Hexing Haze as well. I will say, though, that just like with bash and dash, I don't foresee sprites changing how I play much unless we get new, harder content to go with them.

There already been that topic... but ok, info is updated, so chooses might change too.

Anyway, i thought about Drakon and Sera, but rather Drakon. Why? Im solo arcade runner. I don't have time for things like heart drop, or stalkling.
Destroying everything on sight in short ammout of time is my domain.

I only reget, that first chose of sprite is final.

If not looking on speedruning, imo using BS is noobity.

nick said that they are not ready to say how you get a new sprite, which means you can do that.
anyway, drakon. since there is no passive ability, I'm getting the one with the moar damage.

I'd choose Maskeraith because choosing Seraphynx is too mainstream, and I'm not really a fiery dragon fan. I'm also sneaky like that... Now you see me... now you don't...

Pretty much my only two

Pretty much my only two friends I do runs with are choosing drakon and maskeraith, which is perfect because I wanted seraphynx anyways.

Think it'll really help the way I play with others. Got some really good teamwork with those two friends I mentioned, but recently found out it's less "we actually do cooperate" more "I watch how they play and adjust my style to complement", so naturally I think the sprite that relies on it's owner paying attention to the party as a whole fits how I play really well.

@Rebootse:
Nick never answered me, but I'd guess the reason your first is important is because it's going to be similar to pokemon, in the sense that it's very difficult (if not straight-up impossible) to get the other starters.

Like I said the other time, and now even more sure of it. A "cat" companion with "Heart Attack" ability? Of course I am going to choose it! That and it seems the most useful to PvE players.

Questions to Nick: How many Battle Sprites there will be on launch and/or planned? Or there will just be "3"? Also, can we expect other BSs types not centered on Lockdown classes, like for example turret BSs? (Even if most likely Seraphynx light ray will act like a turret's one)

Will try them when they come in the update, though I hope it can make me come back to the game more than just a few days. (Still waiting for PvE motivation x.x... )

I wonder if I should go Maskeraithe. I'm a tank so I'm usually drawing aggro, I wonder if there will ever be a need for me to drop it. I guess when my connection spazzes out I could press the "INVISIBLE NAO" button :P

Oh Monty.

I was going to get a Maskeraith....

Then I had a Stray thought of owning a Drakon.
That led to me calling it Monty, Short for Montague.

That in-turn led me to only wanting to actually own Monty, so I guess it's the Drakon for me.

my 2 cents

I still can't decide.

I'm a hybrid player, I can bomb, I can shoot, I can sword fight and I can do anything in between.

Seraphynx would be good for support but I find it a lil cheap to have more heart spawn when me and my guildies can do Darkfire no rea. So I wonder about really "needing it" in the game current state.

Drakon seems like the typical dmg output fire type. Would come along great with my chaos set. Kill first, ask question later. Or like Vi would say "Punch first, ask question while punching" (I love that quote)

Maskeraith may fit my style better to pop in and out of action with the cape and having darts that increase normal dmg but then again... IDK, Maskeraith seems like a harder one to control but may be better in the long run

Of course the ulti attacks will change a lot of our opinion regarding this... I might use 3 alt with all those 3 sprite before making my ultimate decision on my main...

I wish I could have them all so I could switch between em >.<

Well...

Drakon... Striker sprite
Seraphynx... Guardian sprite
Maskeraith... Recon sprite

In LD I can roll well with guardian.
So I pick Drakon. So I can feel like there's a striker helping me out.

My playstlye in PvE is using sword and Gun (sometime only sword).
I like to have much much damage so I pick Drakon.
It will help me to get more damage. and kill things faster.

Honestly, Thowardz...

I was thinking the same thing as you about the sprites acting like a lockdown class. Although, Nick didn't specify whenever these sprites would be in LD or not.

Really not sure which one to pick. Veerrrry on the fence. I am mainly a defensive player and hang back when in a party and adjust to those around me. I'm fine when I play solo as long as the level is not too hard and I get better solo every time I play. So it seems like the Seraphinx would be the best for me but I tried it and hated it. Could not get the hang of the light beam or the heart creating one. Now I cant decide between the Drakon and Maskeraith. I like them both. The Drakon seems like the pratical choice but I'm really intrigued by the idea of the Maskeraith. I usually play Recon in LD. Any sugestions?

While I initially wanted a Seraphynx, I ran Elite difficulty FSC with only three deaths, all emergency revives.

I don't think an extra heart or two would change that, so I chose Maskeraith. Debilitating enemies and getting rid of their defenses gives me more bang for my buck.
