What is going to be done to balance the game once (if - jk jk) Battle Sprites come out?
We all know the "if" wasn't a joke... XD
And yeah, OOO won't balance them. Its only for PvE (Would be rather dumb to be in lockdown).
Nick said there was something but that they weren't telling us. This sounds suspiciously like nothing. But we'll see.
I bet 400 CR that I will not pay that a thing, A THING, will happen to balance out spiralmon.

I remember seeing concepts of large monsters in a cough, leak, cough, spy site so maybe those are the challenges we want/need.
^Yes, they could add big challanging monsters, but that won't balance everything else.
It's not about new content but a buff to our current monsters.

please re-buff wolvers and zombies and.. you know what, just buff everything that got nerfed, and everything that didn't get nerfed. this game is getting too easy.

The monsters will be buffed by the percent of knights that own at least one of each of the 5 trinkets not from Sullivan or Brinks. ZERO PERCENT, at least what OOO hasn't announced the monsters being buffed and that monsters weren't buffed on the dash/shield bash release.
Lol. They just spammily place large monsters everywhere. 3 slimes? 3 slimes + 5 giant lichen colonies. IS IT BALANCED FOR THE SPRITES YET?

If they add more health to the monsters they would unbalance it for the people that aren't "wearing" their sprite.
I keep spamming this everywhere, but I mean it- they need to flush out the artificial difficulty. Make stuff smarter, not fatter. That only works with Wario.

Engineering AI is tough work, like actual work that probably needs more people pumping money into OOO.
^Engineering AI [for vidya games] is mostly just fun imo. Less "Its the most difficult thing ever!" and more just kind of playing around with a series of switch and if statements and monster movements.
For instance, retrodes behave something like:
if not facing aggro'd knight:
_____face aggro'd knight
else
_____switch (distance to nearest knight):
__________case: is far away
__________randomly begin to shoot lazer or walk forwards
__________break
__________case: is close by
__________swipe at the knight
__________break
Obviously its quite a bit more complicated than that, as you have to account for interruptions, facing the knight while attacking, but that's the gist of it and I wrote it in like 30 seconds. Actually, the mobs in spiral knights COULD be mostly event driven rather than as outlined above? Or perhaps some combination? IDK lol
The term "artificial intelligence" sounds much more intimidating than it is when its being applied to mobs that serve no other purpose than to die and put up a small fight.

If it were up to me, I'd add in more monster variants to increase difficulty. Make it so that silkwings have variants that cure statuses, so that some jelly cubes have the ability to turn into polyps, so that some trojans carry different weapons. So that gun puppies can randomly spawn with the power to hide/shield themselves. Then, give all monsters a 10% chance to be replaced by a variant of themselves. More randomly generated content, no need to force knights into the arcade (where they will inevitably get bored just as easily as during RJP/FSC). Thats my 2 cents on the issue.
All they have to do is reduce the delays. Gremlins and mechaknights attack 'fast' if you compare them to a wolver.
I bet Vana's mace is faster than a wolver bite..

The Retrodes need their instant laser beam back (although getting hit from off screen was annoying).
Zombies need grappling back.
Scuttlebots...didn't they get nerfed?
Lumbers need a 'charge attack' or 'slam attack.'
Wolvers need help, like a Rabies shot or something.
Gremlin little people need stilts or guns...

They still have it. It's rare though, but they still have it (scared the living heck out of me when that one Zombie went all Redead on my knight).
Yeah I know, I get it rarely. OOO needs to find a happy medium between what it was and what it is for zombies.
Also wish they would stick some bombies and almirian knights in FSC to change it up. Doubt that requires much work.
