They should all work. I do agree that some fire resistance on the armor would be nice --- more important than fire resistance on the shield. I don't like the ASI decrease of the plate armors. I can't tell you your best choice, because I don't know which armors you have.

Here's a suggestion.

This is whT I use for fsc and it works for me eveytime ^.^

Chaos cloak + Crown of Fallen

It has all 3 including asi low, damage bonus and Charge time! Plus the crown offers shadow and negates the fire status of the cloakie but i've never tried using the FoV charge on it so i would test it furst before doing FSC.

I agree that it's boring when everyone has the same equipment. But we would be bad advisors if we neglected to mention the most powerful armor. Don't blame us, that Chaos overpowers everything else.

Why Catalyzer?

Divine Veil
Armor of the Fallen

Mostly Shadow defence
Some Normal
Some elemental
Also mostly Fire resistance
Some Shock resistance

No Fiend Penalty

If you don't have any CTR UV on your Blitz, then I recommend you go for a Handgun CTR Medium. Then I'd go with maybe either another Handgun trinket or I'd go Heart trinket. Or you could go with fire and be immune to most things in the fiery zombie-infested citadel!

Go with any shield you like. I personally like Grey Owlite shield or Crest of Almire but I HATE Swiftstrike Buckler in Tier 3. I always rely on my shield and when I can't defend myself I get hit.

If I'm correct, full deadshot will give you very high swordy sword and gunny gun damage agains those prominent zombies. No fiery fire weakness and some gunny gun speedy speed to go with it. Some trinky trinks should help and by checking Zeddy Zed's data you can see how little damage bonus is needed to kill other things like slimey slimes, horsey horses, and lancey lancers. A BTS should be sufficient if not SSB.

And replace fang of vog with divine avenger or sudaruska or DVS. That's all you really need. I would also strongly recommend at least one piece of bomber gear or you'll charge slow as molasses.

Neutralizer doesn't play

Neutralizer doesn't play particularly well with electron vortex as far as I know. I haven't tried it very much since i sold my vortex months ago, but the spinning of enemies can cause issues detonating I think. I could be wrong however, it's been a long time since I had a vortex bomb.

Neut+EV actually works well,

Neut+EV actually works well, if you can detonate 2 orbs to hit at least 4 zombies you approach a Blitz charge level of damage.
Even if you don't manage to detonate while the vortex is spinning, if shock is successful then you get a fair amount to time to detonate while the zombies are still close enough to each other.

With enough ctr it is easy to charge twice and detonate in a single vortex, alternatively you can dump 3-5 charges on one zombie before laying the vortex which should result in a fatal blast but sometimes the target gets shielded by all the other zombies when you try it this way.

Oh really? Good to know! I had tried the second method and encountered the shielding problem but I was trying to do it with another party member's grav vortex, not EV.

I'll send you a FR if you don't mind-interested in seeing it done before I start crafting EV again.
