Excellent steam connection, constant 1 bar?

Currently, I have my mac plugged in via ethernet (it easily runs SK) and I get 4.2mb/s download on steam.

I am not downloading anything when playing, I'm on the correct server and I have nothing but SK running.

However, I get a constant 1 bar connection in game, and cannot even move to the AH.

Any help with this? If it gets technical I'll try to read up on it.

Ended up port forwarding when

Ended up port forwarding when using steam games and a lot better now.

EDIT: nope, didn't work
