Can somebody confirm that in preview server each player (for example in depth 25 of FSC) must visit rooms completed by other players to get *crowns* and materials? Because so far, according to what I've read, instead of "/g hail" my new first paste after login will be "/away No soz, I will solo." xD

It was confirmed by a friend of mine whom has access to the preview that you have to pick up the loot yourself.
And I tought exactly the same, this is an obvious move to prevent multiple alt runs. The main reason I got alts at some point was solely because we could do this, who has the time to use all of the mist you get with three or more alts? And now they are turning back after they never made it clear alt-idling was forbidden, which means they were tolerating it as it was a massive income of real-cash money...Very lame in my opinion. If I was still playing regularly, I sure would be upset as hell.
They fixed the difficulty issue, in a great way at that, which almost convinced me to play more often but no, they had to break something...
Actually this is a way to decrease payouts for people except those who are good at the game, lowering CE prices. Additionally, the increased material output allows people to feed their sprites without a huge material famine.
What's the problem with blocking alt farming anyway?
I can confirm that every crown and every mat that is dropped, you must be the one that picks it up, else you wont get it. However, if a Vials and Vitapods now act like hearts, in that if it drops, everyone can get 'em.
I wasn't getting double crowns anyway. Why do you need double crowns? So you can buy more CE than everyone else, raising it to a price where only people who alt farm can purchase it?
I use my alts to ragecraft. This is a much healthier method for the economy. It doesn't inject any crowns into the economy, infact it removes them in the form of crafting costs and auction house fees. It ensures a steady supply of equipment onto the market which keeps prices low for new players who buy 2 star items. It also is a material sink, which keeps material prices nice and high so players, both old and new, who don't need them can sell them for a reasonable amount.
When I first heard about this update I was so hyped for it like almost everyone. Now though I keep hearing more and more things that just make me say, "why? oh why?" As a vet of the game that has been around since just about the start of the public version, this might be the update that brakes the camels back for me (so to speak). I'll wait to take a look of the update for when it comes out and try and give it a chance. But not being able to take alts through things like fsc, for the change in revives (i think is a very bad idea). I mean if that had been an added option to be able to revive using an orb instead of ce then that's cool, but FOR instead of an option is just a no go me thinks. I mean you never know, this is just my first reaction from hearing these things and I may even change my mind after I get a few for it when it comes out. I still go back to the alt thing though, lots of pros (me) do it in fsc, it's just a wast of time not to do it, and for people who don't pay bags of real money on this game it's a way to keep up with wanting pricey things from the promos. Without it, it almost makes me not want to try anymore....
Next thing people will complain about is when someone discovers some bug to generate crowns and then OOO fixes that. What kind of logic will people apply then? "Oh, everything is so expensive and I can't afford anything anymore because I can't get those crowns anymore!"; like seriously, makes you wonder if people actually see something beyond their crowns meter which thankfully OOO has hidden. And since you know that you aren't getting your way, why not do yourself a favour and save yourself from the eternal tormenting and just quit the game? In the world where you people live, there won't be ever a good Spiral Knights anymore and you know it yourself better than anyone else so why exactly are you still playing the game? It's amazing how actions don't check out with the mindset.
I have no idea why people keep telling me to quit the game lately. I disagree with an update and you think that I think spiral knights is horrible or something? If you had read my post that wasn't at all what I was saying *sigh* Fix this update... then get to fixing all the little stuff... stop making new stuff just to cover up the old problems. I know they can't fix everything or maybe they don't see anything needing to be fixed. That's one thing, but to say a player should quit cause he voiced his opinion and it's different the their own is pretty bad though.
No idea why did you think that I was addressing your post (which I wasn't), it was just a general comment on the battered wives which propagate mass hysteria. If you feel that you are addressed though, you can take my advice and quit the game.
Um maybe you could have addressed it better then? If it really wasn't for me.... well if it wasn't then I apologize upon my assumption. I still stand by the fact that even if you weren't addressing me it was rude to tell people just to quit for giving out opinions of first reactions to a major change. That will always happen. But then you were rude to me in your new post :/ Maybe I'm too sensitive about it, and it's just the internet and all that, but meh...
Anyhow back on topic... I think some of the things in there are nice ideas but nice ideas are just bad details waiting to happen and that's what it looks like here. To me this is a major change to the game so of course it's not going to sit well when NO ONE was asking for this. At least no one I ever heard or saw. Pets was one thing but to add this with it, I'd just rather not have the pets then if we don't have to change anything then.
Obviously they don't want us to use alts. in run any longer >:)
