If you really want to know what's changed, then read the Announcements forum or the release notes on the wiki. Either of these will give you a reliable, organized, detailed account of the changes to the game. In contrast, a forum thread will give you an unreliable, disorganized, incomplete account.

Don't listen to them forums people, all they do is complain. Give the game a go, you'll enjoy all the features added those last 2 years. I've been sticking to this game for about 2 years and a half now, had my periods of inactivity but coming back was always cool!
