I dont know who else has ever thought of tf this, but i think it would be nice to have new class mods in lockdown. For example, one that allows you to teleport from place to place, mabye 2 or 3 blocks at a time.

Striker makes you move really fast and we can dash too, wich is pretty much a teleport with a different animation.

i see

i see what you mean little juances, i just think it would be better to teleport because the differemce is when striker dash u can still be hit at any time during dashing, where as while teleporting you cant be hit. @skye u just didnt put any thought, ur just trying hate

@shotjeer

pretty much yes, but having both would allow a choice depending on your fighting style

-_-

DIRECT UPGRADE.

Theres no point in taking the weaker one if there is a stronger version. One way is to make the tele be unpredictable, but you can't just make direct upgrades of a class. It's like you have a Strike and a Blitz, well, you would obviously choose Blitz.

O_O

if i new how to block you from this, i would. And to your blitz strike thing DUH no idiot chooses strike over blitz. And it doesnt have to be a direct upgrade if u think about it. just saying

I didn't bother putting my reason because I knew Shotjeer and Juances would punt their own similar reasons.

And those two have the upper hand here.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

Welp, I will throw my ideas in...these are all intended for general play styles, allowing for any weapon to be used. The other classes already use a niche structure, so it's useless to

  • Trickster
False Clone: Shielding creates an illusion of the user. This illusion looks like it has a different class from yours, stands idle for as long as your shield lasts(3-5 seconds), and will flinch like normal players. If the illusion gets hit, a whole second gets taken off your shield HP. If you let go of the shield button, you will warp back to your illusion. If the shield wears off, the user dies, or the user gets shocked, the illusion vanishes. While shielding, your speed doesn't get penalized.

Bonuses: MSI: Medium, Health Bonus +7 (Like Recon)
Penalties: (Global) ADD (short for Attack Damage Decrease): High (Med?)

Tactics: If you use it in the heat of battle, it can get confusing, as it will look like a real player and other players may start attacking it. If you are running from someone, you could create the False Clone, leaving your pursuer with two options: chase you down and have you warp back to your illusion, or beat the crap out of your illusion while you run away.

  • Tactical
Sprite Controller: You may use Battle Sprites. (Assuming your sprite isn't for a higher tier.) Quirks are allowed. Shielding does nothing as this class.

Bonuses: Focus (Behaves like having a skill point on the Focus enhancement. Works even if Focus is fully leveled.)
Penalties: Bomb CTI (Increase): Low, Global CTI: Low, ASD: Low

Tactics: Varies from sprite to sprite. Note that quirks can be adjusted to counteract one of the negatives.

  • Command
Toggle Viewport: When you tap shield, your view switches to that of another living teammate. From here, you can press the Attack button to cycle through viewports (Clicking someone's portrait jumps to them) or tap shield again to return to the normal view. You can still move while viewing another player, but you cannot attack. Getting hit breaks the shield for 3 seconds, while using the shield doesn't drain it.

Bonuses: Health Bonus +9 (Like Guardian)
    Penalties: MSD: Medium

Tactics: This is the ultimate class for team leaders! You can keep tabs on all your buddies without nagging them for info, and give orders based on this info. While giving orders, you're real exposed, so make sure you aren't in any immediate danger when looking through a viewport! (Best to have a guardian around, eh?)

Hmm...yes, I hope this stops the argument. The Trickster was based off the OP's teleporting class.

No

Why no? Ok, let's take TF2 as our example. Everyone agree that it's the perfect pvp fighting game? Good. In TF2 there are 3 categories, each with 3 classes. In SK, these classes are represented differently. The striker, the offensive play style, has the speed of a scout, simplicity of a soldier, and guerrilla tactics of a pyro. The guardian, the ideal defensive class, has the defense/health of a heavy, the area damage of a demoman, and the mobile healing ability that an engineer provides. Lastly is the supporting recon. The recon has the invisibility of a spy, the shoot-down-an-enemy-while-unseen capability of a sniper, and the...the...ability to weaken defenses which has nothing to do with the TF2 medic. However, the medic also falls under the defensive area in that it heals like a guardian.

Basically, classes in lockdown are perfect as is. The problem is not in the classes. It is in the variety of viable weaponry. In TF2 there are more viable weapons than in SK. This is where the problem is, though OOO has just about run out of weapons that can possibly be made without ruining the game.
