So, there was a moment when I read the latest announcement (mainly the BSprite bit) and got excited, thought "waheyy! OOO have actually done a good job!" y'know... annnd then I read it all again and noticed the ridiculousness of the other prospective implementations, and I, as so many of you, just want to scream the question - WHY? at OOO. To be fair, this IS just testing thus far... but do we all have enough faith left in OOO to be sure that they'd remove it, considering all the negative feedback and, frankly, how stupid it just is?

So, thoughts? feelings?

G.

Edit: Please keep discussion about the Battle Sprite Testing in the appropriate feedback thread. Thank you!

My thoughts: stop jumping the gun. One of the bigger complaints seem to be the Sparks of Life; according to testing players they cost 10 energy and with the fact that the revive cost doesn't raise anymore and us getting 1 free revive per level. Now think about it with current Tier 3 cost, first revive costs you already 10 energy, second 20 energy and third brings us to 40 and that totals to 70 energy. Now, with the new system, even if the sparks of life cost 20 energy (they are now 10 energy), having in mind that the first revive is free and the next three total for 60 energy are those complaints really reasonable? I don't think so. If you can't handle the level, switch the difficulty. Game is too easy? Bump up the difficulty. Refocusing crafting costs from energy to Orbs of Alchemy just means that we are now getting another way of funding gear. How is it another? Because you can just buy the Orb of Alchemy from the Supply Depot or get them from monsters. What is there to complain about? Think of it that way, on top of boxes already having a chance to drop equipment you will now also be able to find energy that is restricted to crafting equips. How is it a bad thing? They aren't removing anything, they are adding another way of funding crafting gear.
