Replacing the old Shard Bomb-line. Not only did this bomb have the most fun, enjoyable, enticing moments, but its "gun-like" blast was very unique. In fact, that blast made it one of the only bombs in Spiral Knights that had a very unique blast. Think it was overpowered? Think again. The mist bombs are overused and overpowered. It's just horrible and sad that Three Rings removed the old Shard Bombs. SOLUTION: Three Rings should create a new bomb line that uses this exact same bomb usage. The new Shard Bomb-line is very weak!
OOO's worst update. *No hate included*
NOBODY ever sold these. They were like mega rare. The only ones I saw in the AH were the 1 and 2 star trinkets.
It takes like 15 minutes to get a +2 health trinket... maybe an afternoon if you include mist regenerating to pay for the TEN ENERGY required to craft it. Yes, you have to use a bit more energy to get to those higher level trinkets, but it's honestly not that difficult to do, even as a F2P.
Oh but those trinket slots are taxing. They're what, 150 energy? Egad! That's like... 5 energy a day! That's less than FOUR HUNDRED crowns per day! Who could possibly afford such a terrible fee?
Here. Since enamorocks are not a *bad* idea. I'll revise this post.
I think the two worst updates were:
Heart trinkets update: Broke T1 and T2 LD more than it fixed T3. Plus, it introduced a badly designed and laggy map.
Missions: In my opinion: This was the first step away from SK's original uniqueness and towards a more traditional MMO style. It introduced a lot of linearity, and gave easy access to the highest-paying levels, causing the CE price to shoot up. Plus, it set them on the track of updates that were more new-and-temporary/casual player, traditional-MMO focused. Like the UI update, like this new "Pets" update, and hopefully not more to come.
Monster nerfs almost made the list, but Missions were worse.
Before, heart trinkets were a super rare drop very few players had access to. Making them craftable and more 'accesible' was better than leaving them as they originally were. It might not be the best course of action but it could have been worse.
"could have been worse" does not mean "good" or even "not bad". Oh, I shot someone - could have been worse, I could have nuked a city.
How did Enamorocks increase the unfairness of LD? Back when HP trinkets were drops only they were inaccessible by people who weren't wealthy. Now everyone and their mum can make these. It's more like the other way around.
