So I haven't been here for a while. I had an interesting first pm convo, too:
Him: ill trade you a rare owlite shield with 3uvs: shock max + elemental High + curse low for a valk wings
Him: costs about 1.7 mil crowns
Me: uh, shock max isn't worth much
Him: yes it is actually :)
Him: you have no idea what youre talking about lol
Him: and not only is it shock max it also has elemental high which jacks up the price even more
Him: so yeah? i was gonna make you throw in 700k crowns with the wings but im being nice
Me: sorry not interested
Him: lol ur obviously an idiot who has no clue about market prices. oh well, looks like ill just sell the shield for 2 mil to this guy then, your loss. ignoring you now :)

So I see a few old names around. How's everyone doing? The forums have always been negative, but it seems overwhelming at the moment. Even if you ignore the spam posts by a single person. Spiral Knights has kept up nicely compared to this other f2p RaiderZ I got into...

@Halifix: go read the testing feedback forum (62), you'll see why all the negativity. As for the game in general... We'll be able to give you a better answer in a few weeks when this update hits.

I've read the testing forums but other than revives being tougher on new players (and cheaper in shadow lairs/hard dungeons), and arguable UI changes, it seems good. No real opinion until I see it on main server.

Played FSC with PUGs and died once or twice. Forgot how crowded and flashy the screen can get. The dash/shield bash seem interesting, but I'm too rusty to spend time learning how to use them well yet. I could see myself having some nice fun and playing a decent amount again, it's still a unique game.

Hi, welcome back Hali. It's been a while. The other thing is that they're planning to remove universal crown/heat picking up (make it so that each person has to pick up their own loot, including crowns/heat). So, everyone will solo after this put this fix in. It's very stupid, but that seems to be how OOO operates..the revives are a very foolish idea as well.

Funny thing, how that shield is worth maybe 200k cr if he's lucky enough to be able to sell it.

Shock UV's tend to be more valuable because shock is debatably the most annoying status of the game. Elemental High on an elemental shield is also perfect.

Even then, it seems like the person was just trying to bully you into buying his item.

Shock UVs on Owlite shields don't add anything, they are naturally maxed out against shock status, unlike armours, the bar doesn't lie with shields, you can't get past it...That's what he meant by "isn't worth much".

Are we supposed to be allowed to talk about the testing forum stuffs? Every five seconds someone pulls up a new rule and I'm unsure if we are allowed to or not at this point.

Anyways, about the shield for wings trade, I really don't think the shield would be worth that much, or the wings for that matter. I don't see the appeal of the wings, to be honest.

@Grimranger Is Trying still masquerading as you? I swear I saw a Rangerwillx post earlier. I forget which one is him though.

In general, ANY status resist uv is not worth much on shields. For one thing, since they're independent of your character, and shield status resists are either all or normal/nothing, you either don't need that resist or it's not going to help much. I'm guessing the new movement abilities also help get out of places where status resists are useful (for example, zombie breath or status puddles). And yeah, shock resist on an owlite is basically a wasted UV slot.

Minor opinions are probably fine. But if you want to construct an argument and debate, do it on the testing forums. And there is NO place on this forum for uncontrolled rage flaming.
