Long ago, an age forgotten by time, almost nonexistent in history books, stood the Vati, a race of powerful warriors, born solely to protect the peaceful from evil harm. There were millions, but they were reduced to a small handful after the Lutaki, a device engineered by the Fautn, was detonated within the Vati's sanctuary. The remnants survived through pure luck, having been away. Them being faraway, and the ancient Isorans defenceless, the Fautin leader, Aostu, was put into power through relentless bloodshed against all who dare oppose him. When the Vati returned, they were attacked on sight. They fought through wave after wave after wave of Fautin Enforcers, almost completely exhausted, before facing Aostu. There and then, all nine of them, each carrying a unique fighting style, to live on, defeated Aostu, and fused him with his sword, Faustivius.
After these events, the Vati sealed themselves away for an eternity of meditation. That time is almost up. They are spread across Isora, to be awoken in a time if strife. But the Isorans learned to deal with their problems. The Vati faded into obscurity. Their history, lost. Just a myth. A legend.

But now, the Fautn rise again. After their defeat, many if them hid, and months later reunited. They were few. They were weak. But they took the chance. Faustivius was being held in the Shrine Temple of the Vati. A suicide squad assaulted the main entrance, the Automatons guarding it wiping them out. But another group had infiltrated the temple. They had stolen Faustivius. The Fautn fled, and have been dwelling beneath the rock and dirt for millennia. They have brought Aostu back, and he again wields Faustivius. And he is thirsting for the blood of every Isoran and will stop at nothing to destroy the remaining Vati.

The Fautn attack tonight, and nothing will stop them. The modern Isorans do not know of the Vati's existence.

Criticism on the intro/prologue accepted, so long as it is CONSTRUCTIVE, not blind and meaningless hate. I'll simply ignore you.

And I also want to know whether:
Roleplay?
Loosely-based fanfic?

You have until I check the forums tomorrow to decide, as that is when the Fautn attack begins. Just simply say what you want/think I should do.

Vati is German for Dad

I'd say roleplay too. I like the setup but have no idea what any of these alien races are, their characteristics, or how they relate to each, besides the Fautn... Good start.
Sorry if I come off as ignorant...

Holy crap it is?

Okay, I may have to change that. I had absolutely no clue. Yeah, I'll get to writing up lore and coming up with a better name.

Okay

I've come up with a better idea. The deadline will be extended by a few days and whoever comes up with a better name for the Vati gets to pick which one we awaken first and gets to be that one. I'll explain when the time comes.

Considering I'm not German, I probably shouldn't even try, but..

As far as I know, Vater is dad in German. Whether Vati is or not, I have no idea.

Well, if you think about it...

Long ago, an age forgotten by time, almost nonexistent in history books, stood the DADs, a race of powerful warriors, born solely to protect the peaceful from evil harm. There were millions, but they were reduced to a small handful after the Lutaki, a device engineered by the Fautn, was detonated within the DADs' sanctuary. The remnants survived through pure luck, having been away. Them being faraway, and the ancient Isorans defenceless, the Fautin leader, Aostu, was put into power through relentless bloodshed against all who dare oppose him. When the DADs returned, they were attacked on sight. They fought through wave after wave after wave of Fautin Enforcers, almost completely exhausted, before facing Aostu. There and then, all nine of them, each carrying a unique fighting style, to live on, defeated Aostu, and fused him with his sword, Faustivius.
After these events, the DADs sealed themselves away for an eternity of meditation. That time is almost up. They are spread across Isora, to be awoken in a time if strife. But the Isorans learned to deal with their problems. The DADs faded into obscurity. Their history, lost. Just a myth. A legend.

I replaced Vati with DADs. Huh. Really humorous background story.

Lol

The Dads are mythical father figures, legendary for their superhuman parenting skills. They disappeared from the earth about 50 years ago. All that remains are overgrown boys.
