i know there is shield bump, but what about if a opponent strikes you and you shield at the right moment, the opponent will flinch or stun?

what shield taking no damage when done at the right time? i've been having problem with shield after the latest update.
even if i shield up 1 sec earlier the shield doesnt even take any damage. i took it though.
correct timing to shield? impossibru!!!
Most enemies have to prepare their attacks and are very predictable.
It would be more challenging and interesting if for example wolvers didn't stand in place with a big yellow mark that screams
"I'm going to bite you, move away!"
