The basic idea is this:
Upon doing a special accomplishment you earn as a reward an increase in the mist tank capacity for doing so, here's how it would go.
Tier 1: The basic 100
Tier 2: An advanced 200
Tier 3: An even more advanced 300
Shadow lair 1: An amazing 400*
Shadow lair 2 part 1: An astounding 500**
Shadow lair 2 part 2:An expert 600**
Shadow lair 3: A terrific 800*
*Considered completed after exiting the sanctuary
**Tier 2 SLs should be 2 different accomplishments for those who have not yet completed them, for those who have they should be considered completed already.
Some might respond to this saying that this would be horribly unbalanced and it would ruin crafting, to this I respond with:
As of new battle sprites update MIST CRAFTING WILL BE ELLIMINATED and HEALTH REVIVES WILL BE ELLIMINATED as well, so now mist is only useful for revives and elevators, some might say that if someone has max mist of 800 then he is practically invincible since all revives will from now on cost 10 without an escalating cost, but remember! For a mist tank of 800 you would have to wait 8 days for it to fully refill, so it IS balanced, what do you think?

that would totally defeat the purpose of the energy system we currently , and if things go smoothly will no longer have in the battle sprite update
