SK is faster on crappier PC

So yeah, I have SK on a laptop and a computer. The laptop is faster than the computer but SK is laggy on the laptop but its just fine on the computer. Why?

Multiple possibilities, can't say much without knowing the details:

Are drivers up to date?
Are both machines connected to the network in the same way? (is the PC wired but the laptop uses wifi?)
Same operative system? (win7, Vista, Xp)
Is the computers' CPU single core but the laptop multicore?
What about power plan? laptops like to work slower on purpose to save battery life.

Similar power plan.

But SK runs slower on laptop

Then it's prob the graphic drivers. Laptops and computers don't run the same type.
