Addition to Friend list

Hi all! I am a vanguard who have been playing spiral knights for around 4 years (with short breaks in between), and I would like to propose some ideas about the friend list which might make the game better!

1. show your friend's rank (Vanguard, Recruit, Defender, etc.) - this will allow people to invite friends with a suitable gears to join difficult runs. Lets say you are doing a FSC run, you would want to invite someone who is a vanguard to join your expedition, not some T1 player. I believe everyone has a lot of friends in their friend list and you cannot remember all of them, so this would help make it easier for them in choosing a team.

2. Friend Groups - friend groups would help people organize their friend list. They can put people who are from school or real life in a category together, or people who have shiv, etc. Having an organized friend list would help knights be able to invite the right people to join runs, to set priorities in inviting, or to find the right people to ask advice.

I believe these additions will be great for the game. Hope you life my idea!

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

Legit, yes! I've played for 3 years. I'm assuming Soloforze is a beta tester. (Go to the first post in the announcement forums.)

At the same time, he must be new to the forums. This goes in suggestions, my friend.

#2 kinda removes the need of #1.

Erm... I guess it's impossible that you played for 4 years. If I recall correctly, the Alpha was in late 2009, Beta in 2010, Official Release at 2011. So... Where did the 4 years come from?

Is confused

Ridiculous credentials and blatantly incorrect choice of forum aside, I'm all for his ideas. Was also wanting an option to remove all friends that haven't logged on in a month. Because that's seriously a pain, having to go through 250 people removing the 75 that quit. Or just remove the limit altogether.

@Dragneel-Wiki

Alpha - Late 2009
Beta - 2010
Official Release - 2011

What about 2012 and maybe a quarter or eighth of 2013?

I agree with the suggestion though. You should be able to see rank (and guild) of your friends

Meh

I think the rank part is unnecessary.

(1) A 5* really has no reason to friend a 1* besides being a RL friend or friends from another game, in which case you should remember their name and think of their name anyways

(2) Ranks are meaningless. 90% of pug (pick up group) vanguards I see flat out suck. The missions system has lead to people just grinding through the missions or mooching help through them and virtually no new players that go through it have any actual skills. Also, I have several people on my friends list that have been full 5* long before the missions who are recruits because they don't care about ranks or prestige

The friends grouping could be nice, but would be a low priority to me compared to making the new UI less ugly or getting actual new content (not game mechanics, new environment to PV against)

Also, suggestion forums. 10 bucks says this only gets moved instead of lock an graveyarded, though
