This is basically a 4* equivalent for the Wrench Wand. However, it deals split normal and shadow
damage. To prevent this from becoming a Fast Faust, though, it has a special feature. You know how
shadowfang menders can use their wands to raise up their fallen comrades? The charge attack on
this weapon shoots an energy ball similar to the wrench wand. This ball doesn't actually do any
damage, and in fact goes straight through enemies. However, if it successfully hits a fallen party
member, and you have enough health left, it will automatically take half of your health and give it
to them, allowing you to revive them as you already can...but past enemies and from a distance
of up to 20 squares! This gives new options to the person who always ends up as "team medic"
for all of the heavy hitters.
Shadowfang Wand (A 4* take on the wrench wand with a neat little feature)
...they're removing health revives? Seriously? Or maybe health revives could live
on (albeit in a limited existence) through this weapon and this weapon alone?
My thought exactly. It could be the only way to do health revived in the game. It shouldn't take heat, though, as I would hope that you don't lose any upon death in the update.
Hey, maybe it could donate half your health even if the target isn't dead! Or:
Normal attack: donate 1 pip of health
Charge attack: donate enough to refill target's health bar, or enough to reduce you to 3 pips.
lol nope -1
The point of the wrench wand is a silly astetic item, if we even did make it go to 4 star it would only be used for constructions any way.
Who says we know how to properly work those staffs of arcane power fueled by a mystic language we don't even understand.
I don't know. Maybe by the same logic that being hit directly over the head
with a colossal flaming mace knocks you away as opposed to instantly turning
you into a shapeless blob of burning flesh and bones.
Pure shadow for niche. Charge could be like the black box from TF2.
I don't think shadow damage, even if it is split between that and normal, would suit the theme of what gremlin menders really do. Why would they carry a weapon that is very hap-hazardous to themselves? Do they feel the need to strike themselves after what happened to poor Seerus? Did they feel responsible for his death? They must surely be sitting in their dark cozy corners, charging up their wrench wands and blasting shadows at themselves in a masochistic manner.
*cough*cough*
Well, what I really meant to say was... the 4* wrench wand would be more likely to have split normal and elemental, if anything. I'd really like to see a continuation of that weapon, but I sadly don't think Three Rings has any motivation for making it.
Nope ^
The wrench wand is actually good for hitting switches, the Winmillion is "meant" to be good for hitting switches.
well its pretty much the winmillion so -1 but it is another weapon so+1
Not bad, except for the fact that developers are planning to remove health revives after they implement battle sprites..
