Yes i know the title can be misleading, however, i am not lying. "I" created an icon for the test server since i'm constantly getting them confused on my desktop and accidentally launching the full game. So i made this:

For windows users: Download the file, right click on the spiral knights preview shortcut (note it has to be a shortcut or it wont work), click properties, then click change icon, after click browse and search for the downloaded image, click on it and then click apply.

For Mac: I'm not sure if .ico files are compatible across platforms but it should be a similar process for you guys. (I'm not very mac savvy.)

I'm very proud of it and i hope that OOO's notices. Who knows maybe they'll actually use it.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

HEY! You forgot the Linux instructions! I'm offended! >.<

I'm just kidding. :P

I like it, though this is already an icon they have...I'll use it anyway! xD

yeah sorry

Sorry about that, i did forget linux, but only because i have no idea how that platform even works. I'm an abbid windows user, have a problem with windows, i'm your man. Any other platform, not so much.

And yes it is something that was already made, i just spruced it up with some transparencies and converted it into an .ico file so you can use it in place of a desktop icon. Apologies if anyone thought that i made the full thing, poorly worded on my part.

Hmm...

I'll add Linux instructions when I get around to it. I use Linux most of the time, and Windows a quarter of the time. I've only touched a Mac when I was a little kid, before I got into computer programming and administration.

I believe that Linux can use .ico, but I can't remember...it also varies depending on your desktop environment and distro. (Sorry for the link spam...couldn't help myself. :P)

On a side note, do you have experience in getting Windows 8 and Windows XP to behave together? I'm having permission issues between the two on some folders. >.<
