Now before you ask me why I asked this, I just want to say that I recently began using Cyclops Cap and Fencing Jacket in T3 LD just to practice my dodging skills (being in very low armor gives me more incentive to dodge more). After a couple of rounds (I got 12k damage each round :D), I began to think: "Would having a fully heated Cyclops hat and Fencing armor really make a difference at all from the unheated ones I have now?"
So, I have to ask, is there a benefit to heating? I know that weapons gain strength through heating, but I don't think that armor/helms would gain defense...
Thanks in advance to everyone who posts.
According to the statistics bars, armor does indeed gain defense (against damage, not status) through heating. And somewhat detailed studies have suggested that the statistics bars on armor are actually pretty accurate (unlike those on weapons). So you should take less damage in fully heated armor than in the same armor with no heat.
