The UI change has made vials a severe pain in the rear end for me. The old, solid colors allowed me to clearly distinguish the ones I wanted, and I could tell all of them apart. Now, I can't tell any of the translucent ones from each other. You might say I'm blind, but it's actually because I have a medical condition called color deficiency.
I am perfectly capable of distinguishing different colors from one another. I would be screwed otherwise, since I major in Electrical Engineering. The problem can be with shades of the same color or different colors very similar to each other. Light, translucent colors especially. Like the vials.
To give you a better understanding of what I'm talking about,I can tell you what every color of the rainbow is, but I can't see the numbers here: http://colorvisiontesting.com/ishihara.htm
Those tests put dots of very similar shades next to each other to form the numbers you're supposed to see. People like me, which according to studies is about 8% of the population (1 out of every 10 isn't that insignificant when you think about it) have trouble with that though. Darn those women carriers (no, really, it's a genetic trait passed down through mothers).
So since OOO is being incredibly indecent in not at least allowing a toggle for the old/new UI, is there any workaround I might be able to do to make these things more distinguishable?
*note: I'm honestly not expecting there to be without modifying the game files, but I want to see if anyone can think of something I didn't.
Dude, this should be a suggestion. I'm not color blind but I kinda have the same problem telling vials apart. Besides changing the vial pictures in the game files and messing around with your video card I don't think you can.
