Feeding Materials to Battle Sprites?

This post is both a question and a suggestion to players looking forward to the battle sprites release.

The question is whether it is actually true that you have to feed your materials to you sprites and that it would change the type of damage it does. I would prefer an admin to answer this but players are ok too.

The suggestion would be to save your materials and don't sell them. Use them ONLY for crafting. The reason I'm telling you this is for two reasons. One: to feed your battle sprites. Two: the price of materials will go up. Because it is necessary to feed your battle sprites, mats will become even MORE valuable then they already are. This means that you should keep your mats and save them so you can sell them for a good price.

Do orbs of alchemy afect rage crafting at all? Because that's another material sink.

Wow, Juicybits that's not fair because I'm not a girl! >:|

Damage type is determined not by what you feed them but by what saddle (okay I can never remember the name.) that they are wearing. So you can switch between Normal, Piercing, Elemetnal, and Shadow. (One of those gets limited depending on the sprite you have.)

Yes, I would save my mats until they are expensive. However, mats which aren't needed in the crafting will probably decrease in their price.

Also, Sprites (as far as I can tell) always favor just food which you can craft. The fastest way to get a level 100 sprite is to feed it its favorite food, which gets really expensive.

So can the dragon-like one do piercing with its "flame" attacks? That would be interesting

Nope.avi

The Drakon is capable of Normal, Shadow, and Elemental, but not Piercing.

The Seraphynx is capable of Normal, Piercing, and Elemental, but not Shadow.

The Maskeraith is capable of Normal, Shadow, and Piercing, but not Elemental.

Basically, no matter which one you choose, it will lack a damage type, but all are capable of Normal, so they'll be great against four out of six enemy types, and okay against the last two. So really, it's mostly up to playstyle and personal preference rather than statistics, at least in the damage type category.

That's unexpected, but I guess not surprising. I was looking forward to seeing peops bringing Shadow Seraphynx, but I guess it's not a huge deal.

Autofire, OOO isn't that thoughtless. If you don't naturally have the appropriate orbs, you can use a harness.

Soo. you could just rack up 10k+ materials and feed your pet from level 1 all the way to max in like 1 hour. Finished leveling up. GG. ._.

The flaw with that idea is that sprites can get full when feeding mats. You'd need to take them into clockworks to exercise.

Fastest way to max level a

Fastest way to max level a pet:

Feed it its food until it's full. Then spam exercise in FSC (Normal mode if you have an ele pass). Feed more. Spam exercise. You will have level 100 in under a month unless you're limited by minerals. Leveling a pet this way might require somewhere in the ballpark of around 12500 or more of the mineral type.

Though I'm willing to bet that straight up feeding it 5* materials will make it level up fast, too, so those flame souls will finally have a use.

Whadda ya mean, "for what?" For fairness, like you said. :u

I also assumed there would be something mechanically similar to weapon heating.

Edit: I also hope I can use a harness, so I can put unstable cores in there. :D
