Simple question. Why do all of you think an unbalanced mess like Lockdown is fun at all? Why wouldn't you play a game that focuses on the same concept with more balance and depth?
How do you enjoy LD?
I thought all knights in SK is a robot, even if the wolver armor exist, or am I mind tricked?
@OP LD is fun, as long as you find what works for you. Don't copy the clones with skolver/GF/FF. If dread skelly set with DA as recon works for you, then do it. You don't have to copy other people.
But if you want to know a game where UVs don't exist (no player bonuses at all actually), and you have 8 classes to choose from, and you like flying around at 50-100mph in jetpacks, FreeFall tournament on Kong is the way to go.
If you like a game with extreme character customization, and different modes of play, and a social environment, stay here.
LD is pretty awesome because people are way more unpredictable then monsters.
I always have mad fun till I fight the few players that can swing anywhere on screen and hit me.
On EU i'd expect it, but being a US player with 3-4 bars... I don't get it honestly.
Eventually I just go take a nap, cause I'm old.
/yawn
I'm pretty sure we bleed pixels eventually after getting poked by toothpicks enough.
Lockdown can be fun if you enjoy the fastpaced action, the challenge, teamwork aspects and mindgames. If you stop having fun, then just don't play. I really don't understand the people who keep crying about lag and spam and yet they keep pressing "Play Again" to torture themselves.
There's no real skill cap in LD. Of course, it's quite a bit of pay to win but still.
When people Cheers my name at the start and the end of my matches :D
Make people ragequit in LD is the funniest thing in the game for me....
A few things:
1.) The clockworks are cooperative multiplayer while LD is competitive multiplayer. It's part of the reason why members of the LD community seem more aggressive than most.
2.) As much as I'm sure most of the LD community likes the clockworks (I do, at least), many people find that it has some issues on it's own that have yet to be improved: monster AI is weak and unchallenging; endgame content is sparse, and aside from repetitively grinding FSC, is not really that profitable; all the draws the game originally had - promises of highly variable and constantly changing level maps - has been rendered moot by the introduction of missions. Now that people can just grind a specific, select few groups of missions people are no longer using the arcade. because of this, the 'adventure' and 'exploration' aspects of the game are gone, or feel abandoned by the players.
3.) Fighting other players. -- tying in to the above contention, I guess myself and other people take to fighting other players to compensate for the game's AI enemy's lack of intelligence to provide real challenge. Also, the different people filling the lobbies compensates for the now-dead arcade via the highly variable nature of the players - people come in with different weapons, different armors, different play styles and react differently come each situation.
4.) We (most of us, or at least myself) hope that one day OOO will actually fix all the balance disparities between weapon and armor sets. Knowing OOO, probably not - but some of us hang on to the belief that OOO, as competent developers, will come up with a solution that at the very least will not make it worse.
