So here's the deal I'm a knight elite doing t2 lockdown and as I look around all I see is a freaking sea of vanguard, and I think to myself why can't the vanguard play in their own tier ? My myself thinks it's because those vanguard that play in their own tier , they can't pick on somebody their size so instead they go to a newbie tier, beat on 2 star knights , but they are never playing in their right tier I think that if you are vanguard or champion you should play in your because we all know that vanguards have a experience advance over the tier 2 knights which I is unfair . What's wrong vanguars you afraid of your own tier?
what the heck is going on !
I'm not jelly of them I'm asking why don't they play in their on tier simple question that as not been answered.
Well, the vanguards who go to T2 either are too pathetic to play in T3 (About 90% of them), or are rich enough to make a secondary set for T2 for no reason.
Just wait until you get to T3 to do lockdown, it is more interesting anyways. For now, get a dusker set and swift flourish, and practice. T3 is way more diverse than T2 tbh in terms of effective armor and weapons.
I play T2 LD at times. I originally got into it thanks to a friend who only had gear for T2. I like T2 LD though. You know why? There isn't necessarily thirtythreethousandeighthundredseventyone pricks in every game whining about AT or the connection they refuse to upgrade or others' ASI low UVs.
There's of course the occasional jerkface but dealing with just one is not much of a problem after having played hundreds of matches in the !@#$hole we know as T3 LD.
Regardless, I usually don't play too seriously in T2 LD because there's no need for it.
"Here is a non idiotic response, unlike the other"
/laugh
And I had an idiotic response? Please point out the idiotic part of my comment. =)
Tier 2 has its, own style.
More hits per death makes it not at all like tier 3.
You try playing Tier 3, with 300ms ping or more, and tell me a random toothpick combo is easy to dodge. Not to mention the health/damage ratio means no trinks = death. And those Gran Faust combos? Good luck with that.
@Voza: Why would they be too pathetic to play in T3? It feels like a random insult for no reason. Besides, if I were rich enough to get all those ridiculous vhigh/max UVs why would I play in T2? Maybe that statement applies to some people, but really.
@OP Look here, I have seen a TON OF KNIGHT ELITES beating so called sea of vanguards... And no, I don't take fun in beating 2* newbies. I don't get what's wrong with the rank. I could well be creating a new character, make it a mere recruit rank, gift it some 3* gear and do the same thing... Ranks are a lie, it just happens that most Vanguards have well played the game long enough to have experience to beat some of you.
Remember that we are not using 5* gear in T2. We use the same gear- maybe some richer ones stack UVs on them, but that's beside my point- It's really more of a who can play better and who doesn't. And to answer that, I have seen many knight elites beat me. Maybe if I had those 4bar connections, I could probably just destroy Tier 2, and get bored and move on to T3, but I don't.
Qwao is right. Everybody* affords the gear they want and nobody bothers with any notable UVs. I have ASI low on my Grintovec but that's it. T2 is imo more balanced although sadly much less diverse.
@Owao
Not to mention the health/damage ratio means no trinks = death
It's not necessary to have trinks. You should watch me playing ld, since I don't use any heart trinks at all and I still manage to get decent damage/cap/def numbers.
I'm a Vangaurd and I (used to) play T2. I find its more balanced then T3. Things do less damage, so a surprise attack doesn't mean you're going to die, it just takes more skill to turn things around.
Also, I agree with Krakob. T Three Sucks
I am a vanguard, and I play T2 because I like the pacing and fighting style better. I don't want to play a game where everyone dies in one combo.
And if I'm not mistaken... didn't you used to be T3, too?
I'm Vanguard and I play t2 and t3 but t3 is funnier.... T2 is very boring sometimes...
Contri is perfect for T2, so maths say :
T2 4 noobs + Contri a T2 player = Contri is a Homo...Sapien..??
A lot of people like T2 lockdown because it isn't as unbalanaced as T3 lockdown. That said, it's hard to be sure if you're complaining about the skill level or the gear of said vanguards. If you didn't already know, being a vanguard does not give people extra skill, it just says that they've done the missions. I've played this game for longer that a lot of vanguards, and I have no desire to become a vanguard because there isn't really any real reason to try to become one.
The only reason I became Vanguard is because Vog looks cool :o
I needed Valiance line recipes... So I was forced to do missions...
First of all T2 is not a "noob tier" I just got out of a match and everyone got about 3-4k or higher or got high caps and/or defends. In T3 it is easier to spam, you have more money for UVs and trinks, there are a bunch of people not old enough to play the game so they cry like babies over hammer and pulsar users while callng people noobs and people don't put effort into teamwork they just try to get the most dmg so they can be called pros and in T2 people try to cap more. I mostly see 9 caps max. In T2 I was in a match and along with Spring at peac
e and a bunch of others all of our team got 9-19 caps and half of the people had 2 star or 2 star armour. And rank means nothing. It just means that you happened to begin playing the game before someone else.
@Gshockhawk: T3 Lockdown is where you need to buy UVs to be a "pro", and players with triple max UVs + Love Lockets will still die in about 4 hits. Vanguards like me choose Tier 2 lockdown mostly because Tier 2 lockdown is so much easier to make gear for, and you don't measily die in 4 hits... Not all vanguards are rich man... I even sold ALL of my 5* gear for 90k crowns... yeah Vanguards can be poor too... at least I have my honor gear and my trusty rocket hammers... so please don't question why Vanguards shouldn't play Tier 2 lockdown. Thanks! .-.
T2 gets boring far, far more then T3. Half of the time I play Tier 2 lockdown I end up coming in with six 2* newbs and one mediocre 3* fellow, and whatever team I'm on dominates (omg braggarz) because I have better gear and experience.
With tier 3, there are usually going to be at least two people who have good skills/gear.
Not to mention that in nearly every T2 game that isn't close there's almost always leavers, not as much in T3.
@Gshock When I get 2* knights in T2 LD (unless their on my team) I get depressed. They're no challenge.
I go to T2 for a change of pace from the oh fu-- I accidentally walked into that polaris wall, or ran into that dude with a black kat cowl and asi vh GF.
If you take a SS combo in T2, if you're good, you can recover from it. If you take a SS combo in T3, then unless you have good amount of skill/luck (and have heart-pendants), then you're screwed.
The vanguard have no advantage in T2 LD over you at all. Umad bro?
Off topic reply only post
@Demete: If you're gonna say that to me with a 3-4bar connection then whatever. Say that to me on a 1 bar connection and I shall respect you.
EDIT: I said the above in a rush, let me elaborate here.
Throwing all gear aside the thing about connection makes the game unbalanced in a way. No, throw your connection/server arguments aside first. Now the average player who have 3-4bars of connection are probably not gonna get hit from miles away. No, they get to hit what they see exactly where they are. Now bring this to the next point.
I'm gonna talk about strikers. Throw your arguments about classes aside for now. So as you know, Strikers get a -3hp penalty in Tier one and two- Not three, but not like it matters because you're most likely gonna die in two hits anyway. And that's without pendants. Now bring this back to the first point. You can dodge, you can hit things, most things a 4barer can do on your 1bar ping... Then bam, suddenly a miraculous toothpick swing from halfway across the swing hits you, and a combo kills you while you're inside your base.
You're gonna say, "their fault for not reacting fast enough", "it's not my fault they have bad connection", "they should learn to predict and dodge". Then I will ask you, how many of you can do the same? I'm not even gonna touch on autotarget. Heck, a brandish can range me from 3 squares away or more. My flourish swings slower than a Sudaruska. It's hilarious.
So where does this all come in?
Yes, you don't need trinkets to be good. You can run in proto with just one 1* heart trinket and probably kill someone before dying in 1 hit. However, I hope you understand from my 1barer viewpoint that I'm naturally inclined to speak based on MY experiences, that is, you could be on a kill streak and some random brandish comes from nowhere and kill you or the like. Of course, I'm talking about the mainstream striker class here.
Guardians and Recons are another case, and anyone can feel free to discuss about that. My point here is made and done with.
We have way different experiences from the same 1 bar latency. I kind of "feel proud" of my bad latency.
The only balance comes when 3-4 bars ppl use AT to give a decent fight, lame.
@Skyguarder You correct grammar, the #1 sign of being [removed]. And you just responded by calling him jealous and telling him to use AT. Really?
@Owao
I only pointed out that that was true of 90% of players, as the other 10% are rich enough to get an OP T2 set. The only reason I think T2 is lame is because if you are experienced T3, you are basically picking on the poor nubs who just started learning how to lockdown, which is pretty pathetic imo.
Also, I saw an Ash tail with a blizzbrand scoop up 10k dmg. That is pretty impressive. Also, no heart trinks of UVs.
I know I am not getting my point across well, but I'm saying its pathetic to go down and pick on T2 nubs as T3. Its even sadder if you fail at beating them as a vanguard. And you don't need UVs to succeed, or heart trink to succeed.
For the record, I only posses 1 set, 1 sword, 1 LD gun. Making a second set. Also, my stuff surprisingly doesnt include any GFs or Flourishes. I am a proud hammer spammer.
Edit: Please do not use inappropriate language on these forums.
Gshockhawk, AKA Dragon-Dash's main account... why did you even create this thread? You've played this game for over a year, have you not? I don't see the point in your complaints when you have just as much experience as any other vanguard. And the point of the division of T2 and T3 is to divide people who have different starred gear, not different skill levels. You've missed the point of splitting up LD into tiers.
No you are not getting it ,*smh* I'm talking about the people with full 5* gear and is vanguard and don't play t3 once again my questions go unanswered *disappears into the shadows *
And I think to myself since when did Lock down tiers have restrictions?
@Owao
The asian server sucks so I play with 1 bar ALL the time. My fps drops to freakin 9 sometimes and all I get is players that are crawling on the wall like spiders for God sake.
Living in Russia isn't the best place to play SK for sure. I once litterary came out of the ground, imagine how laggy I was at that moment. Sometimes I even wonder how I'd survided all these years of playing this game. So yeah that's my point.
~Mr.D
@Voza I rarely if ever see a whole game of T2 "nubs". There's always some dusker around, even a whole team of them, at some point. And no, a Vanguard might well be playing their LD game for the first time and get owned by others. You're not really getting your point across here..?
@Demete Well I salute you. You're not the first one barer to beat me on a regular basis.
But to answer both points, yes, you don't need heart trinkets to succeed, you don't need UVs to succeed, but still.
@Gshock Look, your original question was why Vanguards play in T2, was it not? There's a good page of answers here.
I accept you answers owao cuz I secretly have a crush on you, ...... oops not a secret no more :O.
Lul, my last post XD
and @Gshockhawk creepy.....
@Owao
Eh, last time I played T2 was a few months ago, guess that might affect some things....
...Since when was there a rule where Vanguards can't play in Tier 2? Who cares if they go to Tier 2 or Tier 3. It's called "Freedom". And what's a Vanguars?
Are you just jealous that you don't have experience like them? If that bothers you so much, turn on AT. :P
