Is it possible to use ASCII code is spiral knights? For those of you who don't know what that is, its a coding language that uses the Alt key combined with the Numerical pad to create a symbol based upon the numerical digit code that is inputted. For example if you turn your numlock on and press and hold Alt while typing 0233 you'll get "é", which isn't a key on a keyboard.

Now is this possible to use inside of spiral knights and how do i go about doing it? I've seen players input symbols before, but i'm assuming there on a mac instead of a pc, seeing as when i do what i did above, absolutely nothing happens in game.

This would be nice if it did work as you all know that the Pet update is coming out soon and i would like to name my pet "Níðhöggr" which uses symbols for some letters. Any help would be appreciated in this regard.

well

On a mac I can go  fi‹Ï˝›Á„‰fiˇ´¨Á¨˜˙ˆ¨˜¬¥††®®ß∑∂™œ†¢´†... But that's not ASCII or whatever. You know how, when you press shift, you make a capital letter instead of lowercase? On a mac, when you hold alt you get a symbol. And when you hold shift+alt, you get another symbol. For example:

pressing "a": a
pressing shift+a: "A"
pressing alt+a: "å"
pressing alt+shift+a: "Å"

And then you can get more crazy stuff too. ex  = alt+shift+k, ∆ = alt+j, √ = alt+v...

∑(^‘.’^)¬

yeah

I know you can do that, but it seems that only mac users can do these icons in game chat/text. For some reason i'm unable to do my symbols while in game, but i'm completely able to do them outside of Spiral Knights.

Your classic ಠ_ಠ works via copy paste. For those who don't know, SK's chat supports ctrl+c for copy, and ctrl+v for paste. You can hold control plus v to paste something from your computer's clipboard system.
