I'm currently using cryo driver and valiance or Polaris and valiance
, I was thinking of getting another alchemer , which is the firo driver, should I stick to
The guns that I'm using now , or get firo driver and use firo driver and cryo driver?
Tell me your opinion , thanks
Lockdown gunning
Craft that firo driver and BURN EM ALL!!!!!!!!!!! >:D
But use umbra if u want more damage, because most of the people don't use shadow armor, I believe.
If I get umbra , where should I heat it up?
Royal jelly palace or FSC if you have an extra slot.
I don't usually recommend umbra over storm though. Despite umbra doing an extra 1-1.5 pips of damage, if you do get the shock with storm (which is around 50% chance), then you should be able to get a lot of damage in with other guns (one of the reasons I carry an argent peacemaker).
Maybe I will get a storm driver but is cryo and valiance good? I use cryo to freeze and shoot with valiance , I usually do gun switching using cryo and valiance I was thinking if it really is good
I think Nova driver is exactly as umbra but with elemental damage so you can heat it up on FSC.
Cyro and valiance is not a bad combo, if you are a good gunner it can work out perfectly, of course its all about preference, again I would go for Umbra and Valiance because damage is my priority.
I gun exclusively with alchemers in T3, so I might be able to offer some advice. Magma and Hail (Firo and Cryo) are both great for LD, but not so much when used in the same loadout, especially if you're switch-shooting. Fire immediately cancels freeze status and freeze cancels fire, so you're getting pretty suboptimal mileage out of your status infliction. I'd personally pick Storm + Magma or Storm + Hail for a LD alch loadout.
I agree with Grimranger on Umbra and Nova, which don't really deal enough extra damage to warrant their use over a status alchemer in LD. There are a ton of people in Snarb, Black Kat, and Shadowsun these days anyway, so shadow defence isn't as rare as it used to be.
Freezing with Hail is a good tactic, but you can do better than following up with Valiance, because it doesn't do much damage per shot. If you have a frozen enemy, charging up your Hail again is a sound tactic, because of the chance at refreeze, as well as the fact that alchemer charges do massive damage. Valiance remains great in general use and kiting though, just make your freezes count.
I'm using Magma, Umbra and Storm at the moment, so I can provide some feedback on each.
Magma - fire is useful to me due to the fact that my latency dances around all the time so if I can light enough people up and drag out the fights, I'll eventually come out alive, even if I don't land all the hits. Some will run back to heal when they realise that they're near death, in which case it gives you a chance to cap the point. Lighting Chaos wearers on fire is extra fun.
Storm - good for saving my behind as it gives me a chance to run out of range, or if I'm feeling confident, get a quick kill by rage-shooting. The shock is most useful when you're with some team mates, they'll be able to help KO the enemies with ease once you've landed the jackpot.
Umbra - not stellar on its own, like mentioned ^ but it works when you're kiting people who don't know how to deal with a gunner so they just follow you like sheep and die one by one. Mostly used on its own when I'm too tired or lazy to switch. xD Just extra damage, but can be used to OHKO brandish-charge-holders with the charge.
Nova is the same as Umbra, but I argue that it is probably more handy because of all the Snarby and Black Kat Cowl people. For Chaos users, you should be trying for fire or shock (or both, then they're doomed) instead. Both statuses make charging hard, so it's a go-to for bombers and brandish-chargers. Valiance is a good option too, since you can shoot twice, and land more hits that way. It's mostly good for fighting other gunners, IMO, since the constant switching will be very tiring after a long gun-fight, so just opt for spamming the Valiance instead.
I don't have a Hail Driver, but I imagine it won't be too great outside of one on one fights. I'd prefer going for more damage over freeze. If you're going with freeze, then pair it with a Storm Driver. Shock + freeze means they won't be getting near you anytime soon, so you'll probably pick them off easily.
Well I sometimes freeze the enemy with cryogenic driver and once their frozen , I charge my cryogenic driver and release the charge behind them or charge my valiance and shoot then from behind , when I freeze them and release valiance charge at them , they sometimes just need 1 more hit to kill them , maybe that's useful but that's what I mostly do , but is it true that the ricochets that bounce when hitting a wall , deal dmg ?
I normally don't have luxury to charge the drivers, but then again I've never used a Cryo in LD so who knows. Probably just a personal thing, I don't like to use charge attacks unless I can take advantage of the camera angle. You have no invincibility frames and become a sitting duck until you release the charge, it leaves you open.
And yes, ricochets deal damage (and status). They're very handy and almost impossible to dodge because of how unpredictable they are. Narrow hallways are your friends!
The camera angle is great for sneaking charges, especially when people are capping and stationary. I tend to use them a lot even when I'm visible on screen, if there's a brawl going on a little way from me. Lots of multihitting. Then again I've maxed out my CTR on my alchemers so your mileage may vary.
Ricochets are fantastic. Protip: if you're missing a lot of your shots because of latency, and you're up against a wall with an enemy rushing you, aim for the wall instead of the guy and switch shoot if possible. They won't know which way the bullets are going to bounce off; Leekcoco is right in that they're nigh undodgeable.
What class do you use when gunning btw? Would help in determining what guns are best for your playstyle.
I most of the time, use striker as gunning , I kept switching guns, sometimes I get Lu ky when I release my cryo driver charge at a wall the ricochets hit the enemy sometimes , it freezes them and deal ding at the same time, sometimes it doesn't affect them
I guess freeze is just tricky to make the most of in LD due to so many Skolvers and the fact that your own team and ricochets break them out. The most effective moments are when there happened to be a brandish charge ready and you got unlucky so it's a OHKO.

I was gonna paste what I already posted there but this is seriously confusing :x
@Blue
The best gunning loadout is alchemers with switching imo, plus valiance. Umbra, Storm, and Valiance. The umbra is for max dmg, storm shocks quite frequently and makes chaos users run like pansies, and valiance is nice for making room for yourself. Asi helps a lot, but if you have to choose, dmg is definitely preferable.
@leckcoco even skolvers can be froze by cryo or hail
@voza so I should choose dmg over Asi or Asi over dmg?
A little mix of both is nice, maybe Shadowsun + Justifier/Nameless.
Or get full Shadowsun and asi UVs, because there are no damage VS player UVs.
Well i use Chaos set + AsiVH -----> Hail/umbra/magma Asi H---------> Storm driver and so far my best gunning dmg is 28K the tip i can give you is fast switching + how good you can dodge enemies hit.
Umbra Driver for damage and use in 1v1 & 2v1 (3v1 if you're especially skilled or fighting nooblets). Storm or Hail Drivers for crowd control, depending on your preference. If using a Storm Driver I tend to bring a sword in order to quick-kill the shocked individual (since I dislike it when my "team mates" steal my prey). With a Hail Driver, you can choose to ignore the frozen players and work on killing the non-frozen ones. Valiance or Sentenza/AP are useful for countering faster players, bombers, other gunners, and Polaris users. Biohazard is good for controlling the movement of your opponents. You can use it to limit the "safe" area that they can be in, then attack them as they dodge to "safety." You can also use it as a safety net in order to close the gap between you and your opponent.
It's really up to what your play style is. Whatever you choose, don't bring a Polaris. It's unnecessary, annoying to both your opponents and team mates (lag), and can be dodged by experienced players. Also, don't use AT.
I do Umbra as alchemer, since it does tons of damage. Most people do Storm since it has a shock chance, but its just a chance. Umbra does full damage on every single hit and thats why I prefer it.
