Knights, I need opinions.

I'm T2 knight yet. I need just a 4* set to go to T3. But I have few weapons and armors. For example, i have just two armors: mighty cobal armor and wolver coat. And I don't got any shadow defense yet!

Due to few variety of weapons and armors, I'm in doubt: Go to T3 first, or get more 3* stuff?

EDIT: Feel free to post your opinion and discuss. But I already made my decision.

Depends on your plan of action. If I were you, I'd work on getting to T3 first so I can visit FSC via the Arcade (since you can't visit it via missions until you're 5*). Otherwise, if you stick with the mission system, get your defenses and weapons rounded out, because some of the missions can get crazy-hard otherwise.

3* stuff is a better option, maybe.

@Thinslayer

With what you said, seems that create a high variety of weapons first is better. Because all of my armors, including helmets, have just normal/piercing defense. I have just two shields with normal/elemental defense(Horned Owlite Shield and Firebreak shield). When I get FSC, I want to be "armorly" ready. And, anyway, my cousins isn't advanced enough, and I wanting to wait them.

Just a idea.

I'll make that: I'll get some specific items, don't all I want, just some.
Steps

  1. Upgrade:
    • Autogun to Pepperbox
    • Freezing Vaporizer to Freezing Vaporizer Mk II
  2. Craft Angelic Set
  3. Go to T3(Mighty Cobalt Set, Ascended Calibur, master blaster, master blast bomb)
  4. Upgrade 3* stuff(Prismatech Alchemer Mk II, Gunslinger Hat, etc)

In this way, maybe I won't take forever to go to T3.

Thanks for giving your opinion.

On T3 you would win more money and thus craft everything else faster.

But just with it (Mighty Cobalt Set, Ascended Calibur, Master Blaster, Master Blast Bomb), I can't take well fiends, constructs, undeads and gremlins, including FSC. I think is better got some armor before go to T3.

If you show me that I can farm more easily without FSC, just with wolvers and slimes, I'll consider what you said.

go to a decent 5-star, then spread out

Like others here, I advise you to get a 5-star (or 4-star) set soon, and then farm Tier 3, and then use your profits to explore other weapons and armor.

However, there is no reason why your first 5-star set should be weak. Make a good one. So don't do Cobalt and Defender. Switch to Wolver or Gunslinger or Demo or Chaos. Get Barbarous Thorn Shield or Swiftstrike Buckler.

Now, you may say, "Well, I already have 3-star Cobalt/Defender stuff, so I'm more than halfway to 5-star in those lines, and I don't want to throw away that investment." Wrong. You are nowhere near halfway to 5 stars. The final upgrade from 4-star to 5-star costs more than the total process of making the 4-star item. In other words, more than half of the cost of a 5-star item comes in the final upgrade. Yes, it's that expensive. Therefore, you should craft a 5-star item only if you really want that item. Don't craft it just because you have the 4-star item. It's never too late to change alchemy lines, to a line that you really want.

You got a point.

I really like the Cobalt stuff, because gives a basic arsenal and looks fine.
But with, what you said, I'm thinking at do it later.
So, what you suggest for me?
I'm a gunslinger, but I see the Gunslinger set have less defense itself. So I thought in do some stuff with piercing/elemental/shadow defense. I take a piece of Gunsliger Line and a piece of any Defender stuff.
I normally use a Gunsliger Hat with a Mighty Cobalt Armor and works well.

I value more defense. In my opinion, This is better than increase output.

I also like how Cobalt looks. But do not be under the illusion that Cobalt/Defender/Azure Guardian/Aegis is basic, general-purpose gear. It is actually very specialized gear, that works well in only one situation: when you are facing slimes and beasts with no status. It offers poor damage protection (because piercing is the least important damage type to protect against), no status protection, and no offensive bonuses. Yuck. Anyway, you can always wear it as a costume, over your real armor.

As you go deeper into this game, even the strongest armor lets through tons of damage anyway. You have to learn to dodge, maneuver, and attack at the right time. That's why experienced players go for armor with offensive bonuses, even at the expense of a little protection. Gunslinger gear's protection is more than adequate. In addition, as a gunslinger you're attacking from afar, so you don't need quite as much protection as a sworder or bomber does anyway.

I recommend that you aim for Shadowsun gear, to get those valuable damage bonuses. If you want more balanced defense, then get one piece of Shadowsun and one piece of Nameless. This would be a really nice set, with a good mix of defense and offense. For shield, aim for Grey Owlite for now. Later, get Crest of Almire. (Later, your opinion on offense may change, and you may get Chaos and Swiftstrike Buckler. But maybe not.)

I simply don't like the Chaos. The low resistance and the name already makes me don't want to choose it.

Good suggestion. I'll consider them. I thinking on combine it with my future Divine set.
I don't have a problem with agility. I like it.

I worry with defense mostly, because I worry at get hitted. Defense assure me that I'm more safe. Due to it I have the idea "one piece of gunsliger and one piece of defender". I think that I have a good defense, I'm more ready, despite the dodge.
Besides, I don't like of negative resistance. I prefer just acumulate defense, don't lose it.

Thanks for helping me again and considering my opinion, Boop.

you're welcome, but

You're welcome. But, in case you were planning to get Divine Veil and Divine Mantle: Don't. You always need normal defense, and that set has none. Happy travels.
