Trying to farm crowns thru the clockworks is there a better way other than JK runs or has nothing shown itself as a better gold/effort out there

The above is separated because the averages are messed up when I buy recipes and spend all my money.
Edit: Somehow dollar signs got added to everything, Fixed.
Jelly K especially right now, since the lvl before it is an arena too!
Dr. Who Cares, thanks for the breakdown, something I've wanted to do, but only remember after a run.
As I see it, there might be two ways about making money in SK right now.
1) Gear up for Jelly King runs. This means getting some jelly specific gear (dread venom striker maybe) and constantly doing jelly runs to make money, and get jelly jems, then buy things with the jelly jems and selling it to others.
2) Gear up for T3 runs. This means selectively doing t3 runs down to midway, buying recipes and selling them at a mark up
They each speak to different personalities and reward systems. Is it more rewarding to sell/trade or (t3) or to beat up a big loaf of jello (jk run). There's a little bit of both in each. And each have their own mode of failure to (not beating the jelly king or not getting a recipe worth selling). Ideally though, with the JK Run, it would less of a chance factor and more of a skill factor.
A note, I've never been down to Vanaduke, so that might be a third path, that I don't completely understand the risk/reward system though.
Vanaduke runs take longer as the levels are more difficult than the JK levels. Although I find that you get more heat in the Citadel than the Jelly castle.
can't get much better than jelly king stages. 4-6k for 10-30 minutes and 20 energy? yeah
