Invincibility frames. It makes it so that you dont get killed while giving someone your HP.
You dont go invisible, you blink, indicating invincibility frames. It happens when you get hit too.

It's 1920x1200 pixels, unless he actually has some even sicker resolution and is running in sub-optimal resolution which I doubt because anything bigger than 1920x1200 is damn expensive.
