Nonna is a Gremlin representative for the Emberlight Adoption Agency. She could be found in the Town Square of Haven from April 25th, to April 30th and November 23.
Nonna and her re-purposed Retrode offer baby monsters conveniently placed in easy to carry knapsack accessories for an adoption fee of 175,000 crowns.

Will we ever see her again?

I missed her both times and wondered what happened with her?

In January I started logging each day and check Haven fountain to see if she was there... But after 2 months I gave up... I thought she would be back in April like last year but nope... and now that battle sprites are coming I wonder if you forgot about it? what's happening?

Nonna was cool, but I doubt if she ever comes back. If she does, we will all hear about it, so no need checking everyday.

@ Linux-Bomber

I was playing in November, never heard about her coming into Haven...

I came back in November... In January i learned I had missed her by a -single- day. That's why I kept checking...

Never had any mail whatsoever

Edit: Checked the news page... News from Guild Hall. Then it's soundtrack 3 days after Nonna passage... Nothing in the news or any mail given to player to inform them... Or we got one the day she was there, no warning of something coming up... Because even if I had just came back, if I knew about her (and my guildmates too) we would've save for this specific event...

I don't think you get mail when you don't log on during an event...

Plus, people usually have inside stuff about whats coming up. Iv'e learned all this stuff just from sidebar conversation about the Sprite Update. It would be hard to miss it, with all the chatter everywhere.

I am playing on the french server, Haven 26 to be precise (Canada one, 25 is Europe). I missed it, we were busy with the new guild hall update to go in Haven... Literally...

It wasn't announced anywhere... and it doesn't seem like you have bought one from her the last time she visited or you would've already told me... So... and I wasn't visiting the forum at that time. So doesn't mean you THINK it's impossible to miss that nobody missed it.

What you think and what happens is 2 different thing.

Wait... what?! OK, Haven 26 is kinda.. barren... so I guess your right in that respect. I didn't buy one, no, but I was kinda poor.

@Linux-Bomber stop bothering players already. I strongly suggest you change that post title if you don't want to tease flames everywhere you go.

The only time Nonna's presence was announced was during the initial release. The times she returned was not mentioned in patch notes nor in distributed mail.

What if...

All the babies that Nonna presents you to adopt are actually the orphans of monsters killed in the clockworks by player knights, and the time she spends outside of Haven is to follow behind knight raiding parties to rescue the recently bereaved. She is literally making you pay and care for the results of your psychotic violent fits of xenophobia and your reckless acts of genocide. Your disregard for life has doomed them all, it is all your fault!

It's sure is getting DARK and NEEDLESSLY EDGY up in here!

"Spiral Ops: The Line" -- I'm liking the sound of it. The Polaris can even be used to stand in for the white phosphorus level!

Laughter is the countdown to devastation

Wasn't sure what bereaved meant, so I googled it, and found this:

a person who has suffered the death of someone they loved; "the bereaved do not always need to be taken care of".

Well, Spook, it seems the internet doesn't agree with your xenophobia sentence.

... What? Nonna? Oh, alright.

I've only seen her once in Haven. Can't she be in Emberlight? It'd be fitting, what with it being the town where only those exiled and condemned living there, and the knights orphaning countless monsters who have nowhere else to go but to her.

(I like how we're a legion of steel-clad, psychotic, orphan making xenophobes. Makes the game... realistic, y'know?)

Uh...

Not sure what you mean - I'm pretty sure I used the term "bereaved" correctly.

The "the bereaved do not always need to be taken care of" quote was just an example of it being used in a sentence, not a part of the definition. Laaaaaaaaazy googling, tbh.

Otherwise, "bereaved" as in "someone who has lost a family member and thus feels grief" is completely appropriate (According to Merriam-Webster OL dictionary, the first link below the google definition you were using).

Also, my last post was all in humor of being preposterously dark and edgy for something so cute and light-hearted like the Nonna adoption event. Although the Polaris spam in every LD match being compared to the white phosphorus level from Spec Ops: The Line is still pretty accurate.

I was trying to take the P.

It only works 5% of the time, and that's being generous. Aside from that, I'm actually quite convinced that these Mewkats and Chroma Whelps are actually orphans of the monsters that we kill.

That would actually be cool but monster pocket need to stay "somewhat" rare so having it permanently accessible might not do it...

Would be cool to see Nonna in DEPTHS under ARCADE GATES. Like on Jelly Farm she can spawn 1% of the time at X spot.
