Figured it out!

I've mentioned the thought of a webcomic in a few threads, but I'm having second thoughts. It took me three days do finish the first actual page. By "actual page" I mean the first page that's an actual comic-panel-thing. There are other pages before that that are just rough scenery that are 50% text, explaining what knights are, what cradle is, etc etc. Now, I expect other pages to take less time since this first one had no space consumed by text bubbles at all and contained a fair bit of detail, but I'd still expect it to take up to 5 weeks per solid chapter given the real-life work I have to do.
On top of that, the story won't step up onto the pace of other fanfictions until the end of chapter 2/beginning of chapter 3. You guys get into the mess FAST when you write; I'm looking at you, Artiface. So it's going to take a while before it gets to the part where readers get sucked in. Or rather, the part where I hope readers get sucked in.
So; should I continue on this path? I'm not sure if I could describe it perfectly with just text, would it work with a mix of text and comic elements? I'm not trying to dodge working on this, I'm just not sure if slower releases would equal fewer readers.
If you need to know how good my art is in order to determine if its worth drawing it out, here's an old drawing of mine;

The comic will be black and white lineart just like that, but I've got much better at drawing knights than I was then. I don't have a scanner on me, but here's a... webcam photo... of pencil drawings... some of which are from the comic;

I'll use google docs for the actual thing, regardless of how I end up making it.
I'd read it. You could include both chat bubbles within the comic itself and narration at the bottom of each panel. Maybe hire an editor to refine the story for you.
You have a few other options:
1) Trim each comic so you can release something every week.
2) Release it all at once, when it's all done.
3) Release comics at your own pace, get feedback, and modify accordingly.
