my 2 cents

Let's put that in perspective.

You are a dev, it's been 5 months you've been teasing your fanbase about upcoming update. You announce said update to come up in 2nd half of July, your update are always on Wednesday, 31st is a Wednesday.

When will you launch update?

As late as possible so you can fix as much stuff as possible. Any person that can apply logic would've tell you that. I told my guildmates the update would be the 31st and people got hyped for the 24th... From a dev PoV... it makes total sense to update it the 31st...

As a fan, you are just impatient to get it. Face it....

I get randomlly deep in a metaphor involving food out of this.

There is no god of the updates. There is merely men and women on the starting side of the updates feed to us, the hungering masses.
Some hunger for the content. They cry for it, claim it is taking to long and fall for the teases.

Some hunger to rip it apart. They cry out against it. They feel it has issues and want the meal to be better before it comes and are glad they were teased of it so they could tell the providers what is wrong with it before it is finished.

Some simply wish to play with there food before deciding what to do with it. These are the curious. The cautious. These few fell deep for the teases of this meal and wanted to find out more about how it is being per paired before they eat it.

Some wish to stop it. They feel it is poisoned or is bad for us. These despise the meal. They think it is bound to be a flop and ruin the experiences and kill them.

I on the final hand, with the few who may be similar to me wish to only have the meal per paired to the best degree it can, and we wait. We only want a quality meal, not a fast one. We resist the teasing to the best we can and simply wait.
How do you like your food?

Normal Video GameGods > SK Update Gods

SK Update Gods are lame. They look down upon thier devote gamers.
Normal Video Game God promised me new SW:Battlefront. I like that one better.

^YIKES!!! No they are not

^YIKES!!!
No they are not lame. They are over worked and over stressed.

And I would say to them that I know the real deal. March!
As I've told those in my guild:
They say the second half of July. We know they aren't going to risk another fluff update that's hated and filled with flaws and glitches. They're going to take the time to find them, fix them, retest, find and fix those that occur from the fix. End of July becomes Aug. The month drips away. Upplings start planning the next Hallo event. They set meetings to discuss and brain storm the event. Development team starts to be called in for their in-put on what can and can't be done regarding coding etc. Those meetings and discussions become must attend. Well into Sept, they rush, test and fix anything on the Hallo event. That event rolls out and right behind it is the Christmas event. January comes, the forum is full of people ranting and raving about the "second half of July" thing and they rush...get back to fixing/finishing in January, retest February and release in March just in time to start the next birthday event.
